In my Mind

In this world I’m all alone,
The real guy named Brandon,
Almost never shown,

I think a little ‘til it’s alright,
I see factions of people,
None I wish to be like,

Now I’ve come to realize,
Who I truly am,
Things like greed and hate,
Easier to understand,

If you were like me,
Which I very highly doubt,
It wouldn’t be much trouble,
To help a person out,

Since this great discovery,
Being different than you are,
These thoughts inside my head,
Accidentally keeping you afar,

It doesn’t make much sense,
Hard for me to conceive,
But what I say is real,
This you’d better believe

any questions, comments, or critique?

Mutual vulnerability openly shared is a good thing.

Nice poem.

Excellent poem. It relates to me in more ways than one.
