Anyone have one? I can't wait to get mine... From what I've seen, it's the closest thing to a double bass without buying a double bass that you can get. Especially the fretless ones. I've only ever seen one live and in person once and it blew me away the versatility... Never got to play it though. I'm getting the cheapest, the spruce top series, but I would love to the mahogany one eventually. I'd love to get a fretless one but in the one place I found them available and for sale, the fretless variant is on order.
Sometimes I love Kala, they are an amazing ukulele company and I will never buy outside the Kala brand, but dear God their judgement is awful sometimes... Thought the Ubass would never fly... It's taken me months to find a place that even ships them. v_v Took me even longer to find one that had them in stock.
Either way, I really can't wait to get one. Pity they have no tone or volume nobs on their electronics. I'm not familiar with piezo pickups so I can't modify them myself.
