It would be much appreciated. I am looking for good build quality mainly because I don't want to have to replace it in 5 years. I'm in a 20sq. m. apartment. I listen to Symphonic Metal, Pop, Rock & Roll and Rock. I prefer more voice over bass. Can anyone help? Thanks!

sorry. granted it doesn't live up to your username, but as far as sound quality is concerned, it sounds better than it has any right to sound. it has usable bass down to roughly 50 cycles, so your music will have some body to it. the flat frequency response preset with megabassX2 setting is best, as the others sound thin or boomy and shrieky to my ears. for the price quoted, it is hard to find something which has better actual sound quality, even if it looks flashy. for less than 150 euros, what is available will be boomboxes or teeny tinny-sounding toy systems fit mainly for young children, and all will have the "gangsta" look. you might try pawnshops to find something used for a bit less dough. (clicky)for a bit more dough, cambridge soundworks makes a dandy [and more conservatively dressed] table radio which i also have, which sounds MUCH better than it has any right of sounding, considering its diminutive size. it has a stereo wide feature which makes a huge wide sound that beats the pants off of other table radios i've heard, including the much overrated bose wave radio. it has inputs for external music devices also. if one shops around, it can be found for not much more than 150 euros.

I would highly suggest the Logitech s715i ipod dock. it has a aux jack input in the back so you can plug in almost any device to it using a aux wire so long as you have a headphone jack on that device. I bought this off of amazon.com for 92 dollars USD.

The other product I would suggest is a sound bar, sony has one that my room mate used to have. The last product I will recommend is the m-audio AV40. The Sony Soundbar is more of a home theater system and can really fill a room with sound. It is almost 300 dollars but have seen it online for around 200 US Dollar, or less. The AV40 are some of the best monitor speakers I've ever owned. I got mine a while ago but believe there' still available for around 100 USD. Great bass, accurate sound recreation, excellent low bass (unlike my logitech ipod dock with its hollow bass), and great mid and high sound for a little pair of speakers, and definitely at its price point.
