does anyone want to share their experience, whether you write lyrics and music for someone else of for youself, absoutely feeling the worst writing block in the world...and how eventually you fixed it. If you want to include any great books that you have kept as a bible for songwriting or just creative writing that would be great too.

also, as a bonus, if you are serious and want to post the genre you mainly write under and artist(s) that inspire you, that'd be a great inspiration.

laterz, everyone

Music itself is the only thing that has ever gotten me through musical writer's block. I just listen, absorb, and eventually something new comes to mind. It usually happens in bits and pieces, though. Listening to one song might give me an idea for lyrics, another might give me the idea for a melody, etc. Books and classes never do anything for me when I'm stuck. Also, I tend towards producing electronic rock, and I pull a lot of my inspiration from Celldweller, Blue Stahli, Voicians, and I Will Never Be The Same.
