What song is it that, in crisis, stress, blueness, weirdness, awkwardness, alien-ish song--you can always listen to, and feel at home, comfortable in?

This one, I first heard it in 1989 and I can't explain why, it just stuck itself to me, like a tried and true friend, it's never let me down. Music comes and goes for me but the Throwing Muses, man....does it every time. E-v-E-r-Y time.

You should read the songwriter's book, Rat Girl. It's about one year in her life...beautiful story, funny, and I think a lot of you can relate to her....I know I do.

The theme song from "Frasier" - Oh Baby I hear the blues a calling, tossed salad and scrambled eggs....."

John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt. (Okay, it doesn't save my soul - but after singing it endlessly, I would just get exhausted anyway).

Hey Mickey because I just can't take myself too seriously when I sing this.

For me, it was "Hold On" by Wilson Phillips. When I was in junior high, the kids picked on me a lot, and hearing that song always made me feel better. Hearing Billy Joel and Elton John makes me feel better, too. I put on Billy Joel's album, The Stranger, when I'm feeling down, or Elton John's Greatest Hits: 1970-2002.

I don't listen to songs. I'm more of an album guy.

There is dance song by DJ Tiesto. It's called "Just Be". The song has amazing lyrics and the person who got me to listen to it for the first time saved my life. This song saves my soul every time because it reminds me that there is someone who cared enough to stay with me through the darkest of my nights and I owe him to stay strong.

i rarely listen to a whole album, it gets monotonous for me, and if i go to a concert , there have to be several bands/singers
