Hi all, I'm highly stressed now. I hope that there are songs that will make me go "Ah ha! I'm not the only person in this world experiencing this." when I listen to them. So... What song(s) do you listen to when...

No matter how hard you try to please people, people criticize everything you do as wrong.
OR
People around you care so much about money and/or power that they believe that the ends justify the means.
OR
You are victimized since you are part of the minority, so now, you are rallying others in the minority to fight against your persecutors.
OR
You think that so-and-so is in love with you. In reality, he or she merely pities you.
OR
There are people who show most people one face so as to maintain their good reputation, yet they show you another face when no one else is around.
OR
You are tired of people who watch your every move so that they can find out your weaknesses so that they can gossip about you.
OR
You think that your own life is a tragedy, but others view your life as a comedy. They treat you as if you are a clown.
OR
You find out that you are just a pawn in someone's chess game, meaning that he or she has been using you as a stepping stone to get what he or she wants.
OR
You feel as though you are Frankenstein's monster. You want to make people's lives better, yet people abhor you.

Thanks in advance!

(I have posted this elsewhere on the Internet. I believe that the more recommendations, the merrier. :D)

Though I think that with your problems you should rather visit a psychatrist here's one song that might include some of your points:

and another song: both songs don't exactly match but express a similar feeling to what you described.

In fact Billy Talent has many "nobody respects me, I'm such an outcast, nobody cares about me" songs.
You might also try "Covered in Cowardice", "Surrender" or "River Below". I actually don't like the lyrics but that's a matter of taste.

When I'm feeling stressed or anxious I fall back on ambient, soothing instrumental music. Explosions in the Sky are one of my favourites for that; it's not wholly happy, but has a very comforting, hopeful feel to it that makes me feel a bit better. The titles of their three most recent albums should give you an idea of what they sound like: 'Take Care, Take Care, Take Care', 'All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone' and in my opinion their best: 'The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place'.

To all: Thank you for your recommendations. Since my comp has been becoming increasingly cranky nowadays, I'm glad that I still can assess the videos.

To Ambivalence: When I first watched the video, I thought, "Eww...", but when I re-watched the video, I appreciated how beautiful this song is. Its lyrics and melody fit each other beautifully.

To awes: I read some reviews of I Need Some Sleep posted online. I agree with all the reviewers that this song is the perfect song to listen to when one can't sleep and needs some comfort desperately. As for Covered in Cowardice and River Below, their lyrics alone make me go "Ah ha!"

To Christopherwillson: Hi, I do appreciate your musicial taste very much. :) Bob Dylan has such a nice voice. (I don't really understand the lyrics of Changing of the Guards,so I Googled for others' opinions. My favorite interpretation suggests that this song is full of allusions to the Bible.) I always wonder why so many people idolize Chopin. Now I know why--Raindrops is such a delightful piece of music.

Lol sorry, but I just had to post this...because that's literally exactly what this piece is about :P.

And since I saw you mention liking another Chopin piece in this thread, here's my personal favorite (its the reason I love Chopin!). Its also much more uplifting than the first one I posted lol, perfect for stress reduction!

To Stargazer43: I admire Pavarotti for his powerful vocals in this video. He portrayed anguish so well that for a moment, I forgot that he was just acting on stage.
