Disclaimer: This is a "continuing post" read the OP and the latest post.

Can anybody give me some advice on how to get the thoughts in my head to come out?

Hmm. I was thinking of something else. :)

I don't know. I'm better at expressing myself in writing than I am in speech, but I've complained here many times before about the fact that my brain sometimes seems to shut down and I can't even write my thoughts. It's a f**king awful feeling.

And here I was all geared up to say "no, use a form of birth control that actually works, dummy."

Anyhow...

I think I know where you're coming from, sir. Particularly late at night. The two methods I know are:

1. Calming music and meditation.

2. When the above fails, a frenzy of stream-of-consciousness written down on some medium or another. Not effective for the anxiety really, but good for when I have a good idea that I just can't stop thinking about. Having an iPod and iPad with notes helps me on this front a lot.

Like with any form of work it's helpful to leave it for awhile and come back to it, keep forcing it like that and you'll just cause a headache.

also, generic innuendo here

I agree with the others.

I learned how to communicate somewhat smoothly because of chatrooms. They aren't as popular as they were back in the 90's but there are still plenty around and I've even been to the one here once.

By taking away the need for conversational timing it creates an easier place to practice the flow of conversing. As you get better sometimes the conversation itself can help you yank those thoughts out and drop them on the table.

Haha! Yeah, to all who fell for my title, I did that on purpose :). I am good at writing and psychology so I tried to create a title that would draw in more people :D

I am still good with writing but lately I've been getting more depressed and less interested to write anything. When I actually get inspired to write, then I sit in front of the computer, open up OpenOffice and all those ideas just stay where they are, you know? All the ideas are still getting analyzed and processed etc. but I cannot put them on paper or on the computer and it drives me nuts!

I have Constipated Thought Syndrome, and I need the antidote from someone!
