So this is a reviewer active on the site of That Guy With The Glasses/Nostalgia Critic. I only found out about him yesterday while browsing tvtropes.org. Perhaps some of you guys know him already. I find his breakdowns of silly and/or obnoxious chart-topping pop songs pretty funny. I like his style of sitting behind his keyboard obscuring himself en profil. And he generally seems to have a good sense of humour on top of knowledge of what he's talking about. I like the Nostalgia Critic and Linkara, but sometimes they can get a bit over the top or try to hard to be funny. I think in this respect it helps that we don't actually see Todd's face.
I was thoroughly entertained last night by his review of Bruno Mars' "Grenade", even though I LOVE this song. The part where he criticizes Bruno for knowing the girl had her "eyes wide open" in the lyrics (how could he have known unless his eyes, too, were open?) was pretty good stuff for example. Now, I don't think you should overdose yourself on his reviews/bashings (he seems to be a nice guy, but he never has a positive review of a song), but to me it quickly got addictive to watch. I thought his takes on FEM's "Like a G6" and Kesha's "Tik Tok" were great, too. But watch too many and it gets a bit too much, naturally. That having been said, he's also not a guy whio sounds too whiney or pompous in his reviews. And his short keyboard instrumental versions of the reviewed song at the beginning of each video are a nice touch, too.
So, that.
