jealousy and annoyance caused by his music.

I personally don't hate him but i do hate his music. It sickens me when people online talk about killing him.
He is only a successful teenager and does not deserve personal attacks.
He makes young girls very happy and that's no reason to hate him.

Oh please. Hes a millionaire he can endure some verbal person attacks. You really think he cares, if some kid online says he's going to kill the bieb. I dislike him bc his music is filth, I grew up listening to nirvana and such.

Most likely because there are a lot of very talented musicians out there that do not get the attention they deserve. Instead of moving young people towards the direction of enjoying tasteful tunes, they're being moved in the direction of pop idiocy.

And it's a crying shame, because music is one of humanities most beautiful art forms. And it should be appreciated and respected. Not this jerk-off.

I don't think they hate him as a person. I think they hate him as the personification of the pop industry as it is today. But for most, that distinction is hard to make.

Second! Beiber isn't the only culprit, plenty of talentless prats are chosen over genuinely talented musicians.

Because it's trendy. He's just a kid with a nice voice making a buck as far as I'm concerned. I'm not interested in his music. There have been a long line of kids like him; the music industry will use him up and throw him out and 20 years from now you'll read how he's a homeless drug addict on some tabloid website. I wish him no ill. It's the cult of celebrity that's the real villain.

Because this world is much more cynical than it was against teen-idols of the 70's and 80's.

Plus, (to me) he holds quite an arrogant demeanor

So I've heard. I don't pay any attention to him. It must be hard though to keep a realistic sense of yourself when you're surrounded by suck-ups.

Just because people do not like someone, it does not mean they hate him. It could mean that they just don't care about anything that someone does, says, or sings.

I can't say I hate him since I don't know him, but I hate his music and think he's completely overrated.

I can understand not liking him, but it seems more logical to me that people would be indifferent rather than hate a singer they don't like. I don't get the hate either.
