opinions on my idea for a sonic fanfic

Aparently NIDS is a real condition, and it is simaliar to autism. I'm writing a Sonic the Hedgehog fanfiction and aparently Maria Robotnick had "NIDS". (That's how I became aware of the term). Some people say she just had AIDS and Sega just called it NIDS so it wouldn't stir up controversy. http://archiesonic.wikia.com/wiki/Neuro ... y_Syndrome

Why couldn't it just be autism and her granddad just be a hardcore curbie? In my fanfic, he's a Nazi. I've been getting some flack for using Nazis as Shadow's creator (and the creator of the rest of the anthro animals in the Sonic franchise), but Nazis just fit my "Hallow Earth" backstory better than anything else. I mean the Nazis actualy went looking for an entrance and some think they may have found one. All this stuff about the space colony ark just screams something out of Project Paperclip to me. I didn't notice this until after I had decided upon the Nazi backstory but Maria Robotnick looks just like the Aryan poster girl. I'm using that to my advantage in the story. Maybe Maria was really just an autistic girl but since her grandfather was so into his Nazism he was convinced there was something wrong with her. Some people really do think autism is an autoimmune condition....but these days it seems as if everything is said by someone to be an autoimmune condition. Anyway I need more opinos on Maria Robotnick's "disease" actually being autism, but a Nazi mindset made her grandfather believe it was an actual illness. Another idea I have is that in order to protect her from being killed, he kinda exgerated a bit and if she could be used as a "guinea pig" for a cure, she would be allowed to live. My last idea is that Maria wasn't even his real granddaughter but just some little autistic "Aryan" girl he felt sorry for and basicaly adopted when he was having second thoughts about joining the Nazis.

I would appricate any opinions or suggestions.

The same Robotnik that could create a fully fledged biological Hedgehog considered the Ultimate Lifeform, but he was unable to cure a disease XD

If you want to do this, go ahead. It's certainty a new idea to me....

Yeah, all the expirments involving artifical wombs, the baby had to be put in there manualy and never made it to term. But then again maybe he wasn't able to cure her becuase there was nothing wrong with her in the first place.
