Basicially I'm planning to write a futuristic horror story centered around Autism. Unlike how other horror stories might portray Autism, this story's going to portray it POSITIVELY. The story is really about a genocide. While this basically is about medication poisoning Autistic people as part of a genocide, this is just a story. There MAY actually be a good type of medication you're on. I don't take anything though)
Here's the plot:

A low functioning Autistic teen named Alec lives in a comunity 200 years after war and a plague that spread across the world, reducing Earth's population by 1/4. The community is free of racism, homophobia, sexism and is everything you would hope for. Suddenly, many people with disabilities drop dead, and the ones that DON'T disappear from their homes. Alec stops taking his medication once his friend Jake, who has Asperger's, tells him there's something going on with the medication. Something that's NOT an accident. He investigates it further and realizes he would need to risk his life to save everyone.

I hope there's not already a story like this. How would I write the story though, like get it published? Any place that would publish whole books written by teens?

It vaguely reminds me of a book I read years ago, I think it was called The Giver.

I say go for it man. If nothing else, you'll get the experience of writing a novel, which you can use to write more and better stories. Even if you never make a fortune at it, it can be a great hobby.

There is a book called "Writers Market". It's published every year and lists publishers and gives the genres they publish, any specifics about them, their contact info and tells you how to submit your story to them.

If I were you, before I even started writing, I would get a copy of the laters "Writers Market". You can probably find one at a library in the reference dept. If not, you can buy one.

If it's not going to be novel length then a magazine is your best bet. You query them and ask what their current needs are in fiction.

You and I should talk! I'm nineteen years old, and I'm really into fiction writing. In highschool I learned how to bind my own books. I had this dream about starting my own radical press though I never really followed thru on it (because I had a hard time finding writers with real interesting stories/ things to say). Your idea sounds real great though, and I might be interested in helping you bind it and even distribute it. Like I said, we should talk :P (either in this forum or in messages, I've got lots of excited questions!)

I believe there is a site called Lulu.com (or .net or .org--not sure which), that is an online publisher of self published books. Their rates are supposed to be reasonable, and I believe they have a number of different ways to help with selling the book. They also handle publishing of other media also, like music, and videos.

I think I first heard of Lulu on the Clark Howard radio show. He helps people with financial and scam advice. Another similar show is the Dave Ramsey radio show. They are both nice guys who do a lot to help people get out of financial trouble, and some legal problems, also.

Check out Lulu.com and those two radio shows. I know Clark Howard has an interesting and helpful web site, and Dave Ramsey probably does, too.

Good luck with your book, and your writing career!

Looking forward to read your story if it gets published online as I'm getting started into reading horror that has disabilites in themes and portraying autism positively.
