"Dream"
Did you have beautiful Dreams, too?
I could tell that you did.
Dreams of beautiful things that will never happen, now. Still,
They loft me into warm air,
Into currents of joy and love,
Far above the Earth and
The mundane sorrows
To be found there.
There is no practicality, here.
No enemies,
No betrayal,
No infidelity --
Only the impossibilities that make a dream
Like some almost-heaven,
Where enemies love their foes,
And the betrayed love their betrayers,
And no one is
Lonely,
Or jealous,
Or cruel.
The calculus of Reality
Holds no sway here.

*applause* i am absolutely wowed by your poem. very descriptive, dimensional, full of effect, really moves tides in your soul, not that i meant to accidentally sound poetic there but i did lol...
anyway. can i see any other poems you have via a link online? i would love that. i'm surprised no one's giving it immediate attention, i guess i'm just the lucky one heh
i'm putting out my own subject a poem of mine i wrote not too long ago even though i'm a tad bit shy about it, but dive right in and critique anyways.
again, awesome work.

Well, I'm wowed by your wow.

Sorry, that's the first one of any value that I've been able to write in about 10-15 years. And I've lost what I had from before then (not that there was much of it, fortunately). It's hard to explain but I've had cognitive problems and trouble with depression/numbness that really mess with my ability to read and write, especially poetry. Lately, those abilities are going in and out (but mostly out) on a random basis.
Cool, I'll look for it. If my brain isn't cooperating I might not be able to process it, though.
