Anyone else taking notice of her? I can honestly say that in the US - to date - I haven't been exited about a pop musician, ever. However this is an obvious exception, she's sick - seriously sick. While people like to compare her to MIA I'd really say she reminds me a lot more of Tricky in terms of her mixing and genre-bending formula.

Apparently she finished a new album back at the end of 2010 but it's still working through some label red-tape. I'm still dying to get my hands on it but it sounds like it won't be out till later this fall or maybe even this winter. Some of what we can look forward to on it (that is hoping it gets a proper release):

I think this was 2008 (if the youtube intel is even close) but stayed kinda hidden for whatever reason. Spins through that odd twilight between dubstep, ambient, and folk:

Looks like she switched up the album concept and maybe that's what the wait was all about. Tune below is epic though; every reason to believe Master of My Make-Believe will be major from start to finish.

Got the new cd; she dropped the harder stuff, think I know why. So-so, waiting for her next release which should be a lot better if she doesn't wait four years all over again.
