I just bought a tattoo gun, power supply, pedle, liner needle, ink, etc. I started an Invader Zim sleeve.

I've been drawing since I was 7 or so. So it helps a lot! What do y'all think about this?

Yeah, I thought so too! Invader zim is awesome! It was either an Invader Zim sleeve or nightmare before Christmas sleeve. They both had their pros and cons. NMBC being all black would be easier to color. But it has so much more detail than Invader Zim does.

I only have liner needles and need to order shader and some color ink. I only have black ATM.

Ill upload some pics tomorrow.

EDIT: Decided to upload now. Here the pics are:

only buy "clean" colours, and ink.

Some of the cheap stuff they have some pretty bad ingredients in it.

Like what kind of ingredients? Is there any ink you recommend?

"Tattoos may deposit more than color underneath the skin. Like car paint pigments. And lead."

I don't have any suggestions regarding brands of ink. My tattoo guy only uses the best (http://www.tattoo.dk/engelske/english_main_page.html) but I do not know what brand that is.

Wow bro that's crazy. Unfortunately I will have no way of knowing what's in any of the ink. I am willing to take my chance though.

Awesome! I've only got stick-and-poke. I love the idea of being a tattoo artist.

What's stick and poke? The staple method? That's what they do in jail. Take a staple, burn a chess piece and catch the soot with a paper tube, use it as ink, and pluck with the staple lol

But I'm nit doing it to be an artist but because I can't afford a sleeve. A sleeve in new Jersey is around 3 thousand dollars. So I thought let me drop $100 and do it myself.

I just ordered a 28 sakura 15ml color ink set. And 100 needles. 3-9 RL needles. Should be here in a few days.

Maybe you should order your own stuff too Penny.

Yeah, invader zim is def awesome! My first choice was the nightmare before Christmas but invader zim is so much easier to tattoo with me being brand new to tattooing!

I agree with this being brave. Its a bold move! Since I have never tattooed before and am doing a sleeve. Hey, I figure why shouldn't I?

I will posts pics when I'm don't and a few as it progresses.

That. Is. Awesome! :D You have a lot of guts to do all your own work yourself. I really like the job you're done so far. Since I have a soft spot for Tim Burton movies, a Nightmare Before Christmas sleeve would have rocked my socks, but Invader Zim is cool too. :)

I wish so badly that I could get tattoos and maybe even become a tattoo artist myself, but my mom absolutely refuses to let me do it. Even though I'm a grown adult, I don't have a job and can't drive so she holds all the cards. She thinks that me getting a tattoo is a terrible idea because I have a bad habit of changing my mind a lot.

On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being having a tooth pulled without anesthetic), how much does it hurt?

I was going to do nightmare before Christmas but being that this is my first bit of work I didn't want to push it. TNMBC has a lot more detail than IZ!

If I were to get a professional sleeve, I would def get a NMBC sleeve! And that's crappy! I feel for you! I don't know what I would do if I wasn't able to get tats. I love em and they are a great social catalyst IMO.

Depends on where you get it! The ribs hurt the worst! By far!! The thigh and stomach is another bad area as well!
