From what little I've heard of it, bossa nova doesn't sound half bad to me (in part because I find the Portuguese language is very easy on the ear).

I know it's off-topic, but could you give some examples of your favourites (genres or artists/songs) from Brazil, Convivencia?

I have loads. I love Latin Music. Simon Fuller, the creator of S Club 7 said that Latin Music is loved all around the world. I got interested in Latin American culture through my interest in Islamic Spain and Jewish history. The reason why I wanted to move my muslcal interests in Latin America is to try and be mainstream as possible.

Have you ever listened to Portuguese fado? It seems to be influenced very much by the music of the Moors of the Iberian peninsula. It's not exactly mainstream, but it's popular.

I love Fado. I also love Arab Andalusian music, Flamenco and Sephardic music. I love both Mainstream and non mainstream like all of you should do.

I personally hate House, Dubstep, and all the dance music stuff. I can count on one hand the dance music songs that I actually like listening to.

You shouldn't enjoy music just because it's mainstream, but you should also not hate music because it's mainstream, if you like the music.

I like (almost) every genre of music! I like country, rap, grime, metal, dubstep, folk, punk, hardcore, jazz, bluegrass, drum n bass etc. but the one thing i can't stand is contemporary chart pop music (bieber, kesha, t pain, one direction, chris brown, katy perry etc.) 99% of modern chart music is soulless autotuned garbage that does my f--king head in!

Why do you hate metal? What is remotely wrong?
