I got into Pink Floyd last year, since then, I have bought five of their albums. Out of all of them, I think Animals is my favorite album. Anybody else want to share their favorite album?

The Wall is probably my favorite, but I like all their albums quite a bit.

Probably Wish You Were Here, but I like all of their albums quite a lot.

Animals is the best album to sleep to.

The Final Cut is my favorite musically and lyrically

Wish You Were Here and Dark Side are just really awesome to chill to.

Everything else was kind of gimmicky and unlistenable on any long-term basis.

Hmm, that's a tough one. I'd say as a whole Dark Side of the Moon is probably my favorite. A generic answer perhaps, but it's a really great album! Meddle and Animals both earn honorable mention though; they're great albums but they had a few parts that I didn't really enjoy (the dog song on meddle, and the overuse of animal sounds on animals lol). Most of their early stuff was hit or miss: either really good or just too plain weird, so I don't really include the albums from that period since typically they have a few good songs mixed with a lot of strange ones. And their post-wall stuff just didn't seem to have the same feel or quality to it, although a few songs were pretty good.

A Saucer Full Of Secrets. The older Syd Barret Floyd is lot stranger than the later stuff.

That's a rare choice, most people find it too depressing. I probably listen to Wish You Were Here more often than the others. I have them all (on CD and vinyl) and find all of them entertaining. The more so since I've read so much about them.

Animals is actually incredibly triumphant in it's anti-capitalist message.

The Final Cut is their most depressing. The fact that so many doom-metal bands have covered tracks from it is pretty telling. It's also their finest work artistically.

The Final Cut is such a beautiful and powerful album, Roger Waters is a genius!

Probably, 'The Wall'.

I've got more favourite songs, than an album.

Listen to "Piper At The Gates of Dawn", their best album, and my favorite album of all time. Was a very good album when i was in a very dark place.

I gotta go with Piper too. I couldn't stand it for a long time, but one day the madness clicked. The album is so gritty with many different textures to wear, it makes all the later albums sound polished.

"Wish You Were Here" is my favorite....and "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" is my favorite song...there is a minute long segment of it that is just orgasmic. :-)

Besides which, how can one not enjoy the image of sheep using karate? XD

Yes, Animals is probably my favorite as well. But I would say Wish You Were Here and Dark Side of the Moon are both very close behind.
