I have posted on my personal blog that I have yet to hear any other songs played on radio stations from "The Heist" by Macklemore, and have said that the reason for this is because people are afraid of being tagged as a bigot in one form or another, or not wanting to talk about controversial things. The only two songs that I've heard through the radio are "Can't Hold Us" and "Thrift Shop". While more of the songs might have been played before, I have yet to hear them first-hand.

Any different opinions on this? My main argument was that most of the target audience for the album don't pay attention to the words, that they only want the lyrics. In my mind, lyrics are just things that make up a song, whereas words are the deeper meaning of the composition, revealing more than meets the eye at first.

Again, probably over-analyzing, but maybe not.
