Since BrokenBill hoped i could post some of my story's here's three of them for you all

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No Title

They stood there on the old rotting wooden porch like so many children before them looking through the

door in to the old abandoned mansion of the Wilson family.

The two children one who had been here before and another smaller boy possibly the brother of the other

child or a new friend.

“Go on Gary, go in” the older one who had been before said

“But well I err” the smaller one looked around nervously “do I have to go in alone Zack?”

“Yeah everyone else has gone in alone before you don’t wanna be the only one who chickened out do

you”

“Well….” Gary looked through the doorless fame in to the mansion with a pained look on his face.

“Look Gary it’s getting knocked down tomorrow so you should do it now unless you want to dodge the

wrecking ball and bulldozers tomorrow”

Gary’s head snapped round to look up at Zack with a look that was obviously shock on his face “What! You

wouldn’t do that would you?”

Zack looked at Gary with a look that seemed to indicate disbelief no that would not be the right word for it

that expression is more like the one you would give commoner’s and servant’s when they inevitably did or

said something stupid

Zack turned and started to walk away “man you really are an American aren’t you” American hmm I know

that word but from where Gary was now looking at Zack with a look that can very easily be described as

annoyance.

Zack stopped at the edge of the porch step “look I’ll be just outside if anything happens it’s just an old

house anyway so go in” Zack turned back toward Gary and looked straight at him.

“….Ok” and with that Zack turned and stepped of the porch and out of existence for me anyway ah now I

remember America was the name the rebellious colonies took oh but I have been here so long now.

Gary turned and walked in to the mansion having seen this game done many times by the children I went

with him concentrating so that I would only be able to see what he would so as to not spoil the surprise

when it came.

Gary walked in to the entrance hall and looked up at the crumpled broken wreck of the staircase and then

just above that when he froze with a look of shock on his face.

But then again who would not be shocked the portrait was still in wonderful condition after all these years

the portly and compendious figure, the undisguised head, the cunningly shaped nose, the stalwart ears and

of course the ever present malevolent gaze lord Wilson had been so desirable.

“What a crap picture” huh! Children these days no respect

Gary turned and made his way across some noisy floorboards and in to what had once been the living room

light streamed in to the room through cracks in the boards that had long ago replaced the fine glass windows

that had been there.

What little of the furniture remained in the house had all been moved about by the many children who had

invaded the mansion over the years and was now moth eaten and covered in a thick layer of dust.

The special one of a kind marble fireplace was also covered in dust a large crack run from it up the wall and

where there would of once been small logs burning was now bricks and soot from when the chimney had

collapsed.

There where no longer any of the old hunting trophies mounted on the walls and all of the fine antique

cabinets where long destroyed save one which was scratched all over and had a door missing.

The once white walls of the room where almost black now and spider web hung loosely from all corners of

the room.

Gary walked to the middle of the room ran his finger across the top of the cabinet “what a mess good thing

this place is coming down” yes it is.

The floorboard creaked behind Gary in the entrance hall and he spun around and looked for what had made

the sound I turned my sight that way too and waited “hello is that you Zack?”

There was no response “Zack?” he shouted and from outside beyond the porch there must have been a reply

given because relief replaced Gary’s look of worry.

Gary turned and continued through the living room and through the nearby door in to the blackened remains

of the kitchen.

There where pots and pans all across the floor broken plates, cup and glasses everywhere and hundreds of

different sized knifes, forks and spoons scattered across the room.

Many of the knifes had been thrown by children who had previously visited the house in to the wall and

even now remained there.

I could not really say how the kitchens looked long ago because it was a very long time before I went in

there and by then it pretty much already looked as it does now.

Gary turned to leave and found the door back to the living room had closed he turned the handle and pushed

and pushed but the door just would not open.

He stepped away and gathered himself together and then charged the door and as soon as he made the

slightest contact with it the door flew open and he went crashing in to the dusty old sofa.

Coughing he slowly got back up and began brushing the dust off his clothes and he looked over toward the

kitchen to see what had blocked the door.

There was nothing there but the old cabinet just beside the door angrily he turned and started toward the

front door when all of a sudden he stopped and spun around looking shocked as he finally realised that the

cabinet was no longer in the middle of the room.

Fear began showing in his face as he backed nervously away looking in all corners of the room for anything

and as he passed back in to the entrance hall a white form emerged beside him.

Gary’s face turned completely ashen and he ran out the door and of the porch screaming all the way.

Zack pulled the white sheet of and laughed hysterically finally turning to face the portrait then his laughing

stopped and his face went ashen and he too followed in Gary’s footstep’s screaming all the way.

The portrait of Lord Wilson was smiling now instead of the dignified look it usually had one last little scare

it seemed right after all I haunted the first one to enter my house so I should be the last one to give a little

fright to an intruder here as well.

Now I’ll spend the rest of the time I have left looking at my portrait then when my old mansion is

demolished I can finally move on ahhhhh it’s been such a long long time.

Pray

I crept through the woods looking for my pray it was somewhere near by I could tell.

I was the huntress, the brave adventurer on this quiet summer day.

I edged over to the nearby stream and carefully peeked over the edge hoping that my pray

was there the deep rich scent of the earth gently floated up to me as I looked around the stream.

“what are you doing now saf?”

I fell in the stream.

I stood up dripping wet and looked toward the source of the sound and to my disappointment it

was lenny he stood there with that stupid grin on his face like always “what are you doing out here kid?”

“hay!” the grin faded “I’m not a kid I’m 8 you’re the kid!”

“I’m only 2 months younger then you you little shrimp!”

why did he always get me so mad?

“oh excuse me for having a normal height twiglet!”

we stood there staring each other down for a few minutes it was really uncomfortable lenny kept

looking around and never held my gaze for more then a few seconds I found myself doing the same.

“look” he began “I’m sorry sef”

“it’s ok just don’t call me twiglet”

“ok what are you doing out here anyway?”

“I’m looking for my pray”

“WHAT! You mean that thing escaped again”

lenny was looking all around now very fast

“don’t call him a thing!”

“but it is a a a ACHOO! Thing ACHOO! Oh I’ve got to go ACHOO!”

lenny started to make his way back home I felt a little sorry for him but I had to find my pray now so

I went back to the search

I made my way across the stream and stopped I knew my pray was near now I could see a footprint.

I crouched down and listened for any sound.

I could hear the wonderful bird calls the gentle gurgling of the stream the distant sounds of the city.

The rustling of the leaves overhead as the breeze brushed against them and of course the slowly fading

achoo’s of the migrating lenny.

Then to my left there was a sound, something behind the bush’s.

I slowly crept forward and then as I was about to reach in to the bush a great mound of grey and white fur

shot out and knocked me to the ground.

Giggling I quickly wrapped my arms around it and gave it a kiss in it’s cute little face then I took the cute

little bunny that was my pray home.

The Mission

It was dark this night and the house was silent now.

Everyone had gone to bed and it was now time to make my move.

I had to be stealthy though, I can’t let him know what I’m doing.

I slowly made my way upstairs, carefully avoiding the steps I knew would creak.

I have to be careful so much depends on this.

Whoa I almost fell, damn I made some noise please oh please don’t wake up.

I remained there frozen on the step for what seemed like hours listening for any sound but only hearing

my own breathing.

Phew its ok he did not wake up thank god now I must be more careful.

I made my way to the top of the stairs and started down the hall.

There the first door on the right that’s the bathroom, first to the left her room and finally second right his room.

I slowly turned the handle and opened the door.

I could hear him breathing.

I steadied my nerves and made my way in to the room slowly I must not wake him not when I’m so close

to my goal.

And then I was there standing over him my heart beat pounding in my ears.

I opened the carrier bag I had with me careful not to make a sound and pulled out what was inside.

It had been so long and now he was going to get what was coming to him.

I raised the thing up and the swiftly but silently down… not a sound was made.

Again and again I did this and there was not a sound then I was done it was finished.

I left the room and closed the door proud of what I had done but it had drained me completely.

I made my way back down the hall and the suddenly out of the dark a whisper “Did you do it?”

I almost jumped but was able to remain quiet then letting out and a deep breath that I had seemingly held

since the start whispered back “yeah the eggs are in his room and he did not wake up”

“good now hurry up and get back to bed”

“ok I just need a drink first to steady myself”

I hurried on toward the stairs and I knew she was just shaking her head in disapproval.

Damn woman making me do this every year.
