I am the same but my lefthandedness is generally for fine motor skills such as writing and right handed for gross motor such as tennis. That's why playing guitar right handed is good for me.
I am not what you would consider fully left handed more ambidextrous with different types of tasks assigned to different hands to dominate. A true left handed person does everything in a lefthanded way.

well, guitar is the only right-hand thing i do. I struggle to imagine me doing stuff right-hand, and strangely, when i picture me playing guitar it is always left handed.

jimi hendrix played left handed (he strung his guitar upside down) and i have never heard a better guitarist than him.

I've tried it both ways. It's easier to do right handed because the one I have suits the length of my fingers on my left hand (which are a little bit longer than the ones on my right) better.

I'm officially right-handed. The only thing I ever did naturally left-handed was fire a rifle... which the Marines thrashed out of me in boot camp.

I've played guitar for over 30 years. Had many amazing musicians in bands with me that were left-handed so I don't know whether there is any reason why either would be better or worse. I would imagine that however you're most comfortable.

However, because of the shortage of left-handed guitars available off-the-shelf most people try to learn and teach to play right-handed. It was more of a economic/convenience thing. Not so much anymore, but not long ago a left-handed instrument was a costly "special order".

Probably the best bass player I ever played with was left handed. He flipped a right-handed bass around and just learned to play the strings reverse.

I can name a few, Jimi Hendrix is mostly a distortion freak. Always found him overrated.

Best guitarists to me are Marc Rizzo (go by solo material, not Soulfly), Angel Vivaldi and Alejandro Silva.

i would think left-handedness is actually an advantage for playing guitar the 'usual' way, fretting with the left hand.
actually, the handedness indication of guitars always confused me, the biggest movements and most control is needed on the fretting hand; the left hand typically, yet that method is called "right-handed":S

i believe that you found him overrated because your mind can only "rate" to a certain degree, and what you can not understand that "goes over your head" you consider to be "over rated" because you are incapable of such a level of understanding in order to see this song for what it is..
you may consider this to be an "old farts" song because it was written before you were born, but everything that enables your existence was created before you were born. and there were better thinkers than you that existed before you had any thoughts of your own.

Never heard this Jimi Hendrix track...better than what I've heard in the past. I am not biased against old songs in any way b9, I listen to old Rush, Black Sabbath and grunge. Just never knew Jimi Hendrix had this kind of range. Definitely needs a remaster, though.

I also am left-handed but play guitar right handed. Whatever feels most comfortable for you is what you should stick with. I write left handed but bat and golf right.
