Does anyone have an opinion on Jodi Piloult's books? I recently read "My Sister's Keeper" and then saw another of her books at Wal Mart and got it. Thats when I found out she's written quite a few, and I've been getting them on Bookmooch. I've really liked them all so far and would reccommend them.
So far, there is always a lawyer as a minor character, and a trial is always part of the plot. There is a slight feeling of reading a cross between John Grisham, a romance novalist and Judy Blume but overall they are enjoyable. One of the things that I especially like is that she usually ends her books with a surprise. She also doesn't usually neatly wrap up the problem at the end of the book, and she does write about tough issues.
So, thoughts on her books? Favorites and least liked?

I've only read My Sister's Keeper and House Rules. I enjoyed them both a lot, but I'm something with a little creative spurt that you get from reading fantasy and sci-fi.
You already know how My Sister's Keeper goes. House Rules is about a teenage boy with Asperger's Syndrome (hello!) being falsely accused of killing a close family friend. Because of his typical Aspie behavior, the suspicion grows deeper and deeper until... (I won't spoil the plot in case you are interested in getting it.)
I personally like her writing style.

House Rules is on the way to me from someone on BookMooch. I've read My Sisters Keeper, The Pact (about two teens who supposedly had a suicide pact and only one went through with it), Vanishing Act (about a lady who was raised by her father and who finds out that he's kidnapped her from her mother when they divorced and lied to her about her mother being dead for 30 years), Plain Truth (about an Amish girl accused of having and killing a baby in secret), Change of Heart (about a man who kills a lady's husband and child while she's pregnant and wants his death penalty execution to be changed so he can donate his heart to the girl the lady was pregnant with because she's got a heart condition), Perfect Match (about a little boy who was molested and how is lawyer mother deals with it) and Nineteen Minutes (about a guy who goes on a school shooting spree).
I also have The Tenth Circle, Second Glance, Mercy, and Salem Falls on the way from BookMooch too.
If you like Picoult you might also like Jane Hamilton. The writing style and characters are very similar. I've only read The Book of Ruth, and Map of the World by her, but I really enjoyed them. I've also requested another of her books from BM. I'll let you know how it is once I read it.
