This month I've really enjoyed the new Chvrches Recover EP. It only features three original tracks and several remixes, but it's worth it for Recover and Now Is Not The Time.
Charli XCX's new album True Romance came out last week and it is pretty good. Though I like it, many of the albums best tracks have already been featured on previous releases, and include tracks like Cloud Aura, Nuclear Seasons and Grins.
The new Major Lazer album is pretty fun. It reminds me a bit of Calvin Harris' last album simply due to the heavy collaboration with other artists. Get Free is by far the best of the tracks though, which released as a single last year. Other favorites include the other recent singles and Scare Me, a collaboration with Peaches and Timberlee.
I need to give some more listens to The Knife's new album Shaking the Habitual, because so far I am not in love with it. The long, almost ambient type tracks bore me as well as the brief interludes between more substantial tracks. However I love Without You My Life Would Be Boring, A Tooth For An Eye and Raging Lung. Overall though for me personally I'm not enamored with the change in style.
The new Yeah Yeah Yeahs album I really like, though I don't think it's quite as good as It's Blitz. It's their most minimalist album to date, though they retain a recognisable style. Sacrilege, Slave and Buried Alive are among my favorites on this album.
Other tracks I have on rotation are the National's Demons and Don't Swallow The Cap, Jessie Ware's Imagine It Was Us, TNGHT's Acrylics, Fallulah's Superfishyality, Dre Skull's First Time featuring Megan James of Purity Ring and what might have been my track of the summer if it were still summer here, NONONO's Pumpkin Blood.
Jai Paul's debut album also just released a few hours ago, which I've been looking forward to. I'll have to wait until tomorrow though to give it a listen.
