Whatever anyone says, these guys are one of the most underrated bands. Not to mention they've produced some of the most AS relevant subject matter in the last twenty years.

Numbers like this send a chill up my spine.

Loose ropes still tied knots
I can't believe that I returned
Loose threads, still they sew
It's just I can't believe that we returned

It must be hard
Hard
With your head on backwards

"Creep" is the only song I know and like. I guess it's time to expand on that.

I think they're the best band in the world at the moment by a long distance

It never occurred to me that Radiohead was quite so AS relevant...but I think you may be right!

I love Radiohead so much. I'll never forget the first time I heard Paranoid Android. Absolutely blew my mind. Most of my friends listen to metal or hard rock when they lift weights, but I find Radiohead's music motivates me more than any of that, and I generally enjoy hard rock/metal.

During the early 90's they went through a kind of punk inspired phase. To me 'Blow Out' is about meltdowns. Thom Yorke incidentally is suspected AS.

In my mind and nailed into my heels
All the time killing what I feel

And everything I touch
''(All wrapped up in cotton wool)
(All wrapped up and sugar coated)''
Turns to stone

And everything I touch
''(All wrapped up in cotton wool)
(All wrapped up and sugar coated)''
Turns to stone

I am fused just in case I blow out
I am glued just in case I crack out

Everything I touch turns to stone
Everything I touch
''(All wrapped up in cotton wool)
(All wrapped up and sugar coated)''
Turns to stone

I'm a Radiohead fan but I've kind of reached a phase where I've burned myself out on them. Maybe it's just that I was a little disappointed with their latest album.

Anyways, this is probably my favorite song...

It has such a somber blissful soothing quality, a state of utter self-annihilation. Also exceedingly rare to me that the music and lyrics seem to match perfectly and I can relate to both.

I've noticed Thom Yorke has an obsession with water and diluvian themes. It's something that also fascinates me on some kind of emotional level.

I completely concur, Radiohead are superb. I wasn't too keen on the last album, but love the rest. You get the feeling they could release another all-time classic simply by being in the mood to do so. I'm not sure any album is as good as OK Computer, and Lucky is one of my favourite songs ever, It's just so beautiful!

Underrated? They're one of the biggest bands in the world. They sell tons of records, and always fill stadium venues. Consistently the most listened to band on last.fm.

They are good though. OK Computer was the second album I ever bought (the first being Dark Side Of The Moon).

If you like Radiohead you should check out Can. Radiohead are basically a Can tribute band, especially on In Rainbows and King Of Limbs.

Yea. They're definitely not underrated. Arguments about "underrated" and "overrated" are stupid. A lot of people say they are "overrated" but those people either a.) personally don't like Radiohead (understandable, different people different tastes) or b.) are idiot hipsters who think Radiohead is too popular / critically acclaimed and that they need to be taken down a notch.

I respect and admire the worth of their creativity and originality, but I could never really get into it. It doesn't "speak to me" for some reason.

They do have some amazing B Sides/non-album tracks.
