Does anyone know of any post apocalyptic books?
also when writing what are some of the disasters that make a post apocalyptic world?

Nuclear disasters are a common theme and wars between factions make a good story for post apocalyptic worlds.
I have not read any books about post apocalyptic worlds though only through videos games like fallout 3.

There's a science fiction/horror short story floating around somewhere called 'The Black Cumin Cure.' If I find it I'll link to it or put it up on my blog.

This latest issue of Cemetery Dance magazine is dedicated in full to post apocalyptic short fiction. Very good stuff.

Cormack McCarthy's "The Road" really stands out among post-apocalyptic fiction. He really sucks all the fun and fantasy out of the scenario in that novel.
