I recently invented a new type of poetry. Here's how it works: write something normal, perhaps even banal (the more banal, the more humorous the final result). Then you re-write that entire thing, but replace each word with its opposite. This is tricky, though, because some opposites necessarily suggest themselves, but others are more subjective. For example, the opposite of "all" is almost obviously "none", but then what is the opposite of, say, Wednesday?

Here's an example: (Banal mode): Today I raided the refrigerator because my girlfriend dumped me. I proceeded at a most marvelous rate. However, there were no collard greens. On account of this, I unplugged the refrigerator.

(Opposite mode): Yesterday you liberated a heater in spite of the fact your male arch-nemesis picked you up. You stalled out of the least regular staticness. Because of this, here will be some shirtless reds. Despite this, you plugged a heater.
