Does anyone know of any Military Science Fiction Books about Fighter pilots
space combat similar to the dogfigths you see in star wars and battlestar galactica
were the main characters pilot starfighters and stuff like that
(sorry about the subject title it has nothing to do with this but I needed to get your attention) : )

I was expecting conversation about French Connection UK, disappointing.

Maybe try some Jack Campbell?

I'm more into horror and to a degree fantasy, though growing up, I used to read E.E. "Doc" Smith's Lensmen series, which definitely involves interstellar warfare. On top of that, Smith has been credited with inventing the Sci/Fi genre of the space opera.

Star Wars rips off airforce dogfghts of the early 20th Centurey.

Star Trek rips off Horatio Hornblower and the sailing ship era ( with a concession to the pacific theater of world war two-with photon 'torpedoes') and envisions space combat as naval, rather than airforce like.

Im more into the latter vision.
But to each his own sci fi vision.
