I like some of his older work. In my opinion, his music got progressively worse into the 1990's as he modified his appearance.

I agree too. It was sad. He thought he was ugly, but he was so beautiful! It's a shame he died. :(

I enjoyed his work from the late 70's-early 80's, especially the Thriller album. My favorite songs are "Billie Jean" and "Beat It". Those songs are so catchy!

The "Thriller" album, single, and video marked the high point of MJ's career, in my opinion.

As a person ... I just can not identify with him.

Talented artist, but also a pedophile and an addict (drugs and plastic surgery). The man was not an angel. Personally in terms of his music, I think he basically was great up until around the time of the first pedophile accusation, after that he didn't do much. Thriller, Billie Jean, Man In The Mirror, Just Another Part of Me we're all good, and I always liked Captain EO at Disneyland.

I like Michael Jackson, particularly his eighties work. Never could get into his Jackson Five stuff. I guess the shadow of Sloppy Joe hangs over it.

You've got to admit, the nickname "Sloppy Joe" fits the guy well.

Yeah, I totally agree with the name "Sloppy Joe." He was so strict with Michael and his brothers and barely didn't show them any love, especially Michael.

Not only that, he's cheap, utterly selfish, and seemingly has no real sophisication. His only agenda appears to be petty personal gain.

Sorry if I'm talking about that hoodlum, but a lot of Michael's problems can attributed to him.

I totally agree. On one interview, Michael said that he used to throw up when he saw his dad. It broke my heart, the poor baby.

I really like his music from the Thriller era to HIStory.

From Off the Wall, I like Rock With You and Don't Stop Til You Get Enough

I like You Rock My World from Invincible. I find myself listening to Hold My Hand w/ Akon a lot.

Captain EO amazed me, as did the moonwalker movie.

Smooth Criminal Moonwalker version is most likely my favorite music video of all time. The MJ lean...mesmerizing. The Scream video was awesome.

I love, love the Motown 25th Anniversary special when he first did the moonwalk. I've watched that clip over and over.

Finally, Earth Song and Will You Be There? just affect me like no other songs. I just always go back to Michaels music and listen to him everyday.

Remembering his stadium shows and how people reacted to him, crying, fainting, etc... No one will ever be like Michael Jackson.
