"Can't connect with cartoons"?

This made me think... an old person saying that they can't 'connect', another that they feel empty... is this then, would you think, a matter of being born watching animation? I mean, I felt the greatest emotions while watching anime... if older people who've never seen it before in their lives don't feel anything at all we must have fundamentally different minds...

What do you think?

It wasn't really about elders not connecting with cartoons. It was about elders not connecting with Vocaloids. I'm sure lots of these people would have a blast watching old Bugs Bunny or Underdog cartoons.
