My translation professor is very insistent that I attend grad school where an MFA in creative writing translation is offered. Sigh. But I don't want to move out of town. I have intended on trying to get into Washington University for either an MFA in creative writing or a PhD in psychology. I don't want to leave, nor am I willing to. But no unis in town offer that side to the MFA. Sigh.

She doesn't understand. I couldn't handle leaving everything that I'm used to and some stuff that I like. I could not survive starting over in a new place, not knowing ANYONE, nor with anyone to look after me and make sure I don't get lost driving in the middle of some city.

I need and want to stay where things are familiar. I have a hard enough time just living in St. Louis. I'm such a slow Life-learner. If I moved, the phrase "getting eaten alive" comes to mind.

Think of this as a new branch
for being independent in your
tree of life, and a complement
since it was recommended by
a professor who saw your natural
abilities and wants to see them
take flight.

Here's to success, and a inspired
you.

Sincerely,
