Fanfics about yourself/your life

Has anyone here ever made a fanfic involving yourself, and maybe a fictionalized version of yourself or using your real life friends? I've done a couple, and they've had happy endings. I really like them.

I've often fantasized about what my life would have been like if my former best friend had reciprocated my romantic feelings for her and we wound up becoming life-partners. I could picture my life being radically different than it is now. Basically, after growing up and graduating, we would have moved to Japan, her home country, where she would work as a fashion designer* and I'd be the writer and illustrator of manga. Ideally we'd have two children together, a boy and a girl (preferably through a sperm donor but I wouldn't object to adoption). Their names would be Yosaku and Sakuya**.




* I know that she wanted to be a fashion designer because I caught a glimpse of her Myspace a few years ago before she set her page to "private".

** The bit about us having a boy and a girl named Yosaku and Sakuya comes from a scenario I played out on the Sims 2 once, where I attempted to live out the fantasy detailed above in virtual reality. #foreveralone

I started, but never finished. I have a rough time writing fanfics - I'll get scenarios that play out in my head, but they're never connected. So they just remain in my mind.

Sometimes, however, my fanfics about myself can get very dark: They can involve character deaths, at times.

Anybody else try this, as well? Write fanfics about themselves?
