I'm looking for aspie fractal artists on da to follow. I think we should make a group or something, Devious Fractals of the Aut, lol.

Question: "The snowflake-Cross" resembles Medieval crosses and design. How would a Medieval craftsman create such an object without any knowledge of fractal theory? What underlies the maths and art of fractals?

I didn't think people would try making fractals by hand, although it doesn't seem an impossibility...

As for the math aspect, I don't understand it, I just know that it comes together, and have been learning to manipulate it as it comes together as a whole.

I suppose the same kind of question is how do you know how to throw a ball so it goes somewhere near the intended target , without consciously running a ballistics calculation in your head before letting go of it?

You just know. But knowing how you know is an interesting question. Of equal interest is why you
knew and "felt" this was "right" when you had finished you work.

Anyway yes ,I like fractal art. I like art and fractals , and I like the fractals and art you have produced.

Out of interest , what happens if you interlace the fractals which create one shape and form with those that make another?

Why not? I like to make projects, draw parts of fractals on lessons and it's only question of drawing it once again and with colours. Or without. But neatly and pretty.

I just do it based on trial and error, etting better at figuring out what I can do to make something that appeals to me. I typically don't start with a goal, I just play around, and create a goal as I go. I see something that might look interesting, and I try it! There's so much I'm yet to try with the software I'm using, so I have a lot to learn still, but 'll get there eventually.

Eh, just not something I had ever thought of before now.

I do fractal art by hand. I'm also very interested in fractal music. It's interesting about your fractal maltese crosses there.

I have a friend who experimented with fractal music once. He wrote an album called "The Spiral Staircase" - I can't remember if he put that one up on iTunes now. Look for "Mark Sheeky" and you'll probably find something about it.
