I love electonica music but I don't know anyone else who does. I've been really into the Chemical Brothers lately. Since I don't know anyone else who listens to it, I don't know any good ones. Any recommendations? I'd like to find out more about it.

I was in the Ministry of Sound on Friday, went to a night called Wildchild - trance and hard dance. Love liquid dnb, jungle, electro house, not so keen on hard dance.

Wildchild were playing the melodic trance I love.

I'm just starting to like that sort of music as well as demoscene and chiptunes bit I don't know where to find it. One place I did find was http://www.kahvi.org/ though all I've heard seems fairly mellow.

http://www.mixdepot.net/browse and you will see all the genres listed - trance, epic trance, psy-trance, tech trance, hard trance

I've also very recently discovered a form of drum n bass called trancestep. dark basslines with a dnb beat with the atmosphere of trance.

Well, I like a little bit. I'm more into Industrial. Does Celldweller count? It has some trance elements.

Yes a lot of early electronica like jean michelle jarre, cellweller, can be called early progressive.

Progressive is a collective term used for music with similar melodies that include forms of house and breaks too.
