Perspectives in music
I am back, with a perspective on music. One of my personal favorite songs is Amazing Journey by The Who. Even though I am not blind, deaf and dumb like Tommy, the lyrics "each sensation makes a note in my symphony" are still a part of my mind. With that in mind, let me start with an album I would like to share with you all. It is Who's Next from The Who. From front to back, the album is an absolute classic. This album was originally going to be a rock opera called Lifehouse, but after Pete Townshend almost had a suicidal breakdown, the idea was scraped. Who's Next was the phoenix rising from the ashes of Lifehouse. Every single song on this record is very powerful, there is not a weak track on the album. Who's Next is the middle album in the trifecta of great Who albums in-between Tommy and Quadrophenia. Enjoy the album
For some odd reason although I like music largely and own records as widely, I don?t own a single The Who record.
That C.S.I theme is a nice opening. I love that dynamic synthesizer pattern and the song forming in the end into that Indian music extravaganza that I mistook for long as klezmer music (I know? How poor are my world music categorization skills??
). Some songs sound to my ears not as interesting, a bit ?boring?, but all in all it?s a nice record. Thanks for making me listen to it in its entirety.
