If Tommy Wiseau (The Room) had been making films in 1971, they probably would have looked something like Dracula vs. Frankenstein. This critic gave the movie a negative five stars, which indicates a movie that's "so bad it's genius," and said that "its every second had my rapt attention." James Rolfe (a.k.a. the Angry Video Game Nerd) covered the movie in this video, if anyone wants to catch a glimpse of it.

I recently picked up the DVD. To my surprise, it was loaded with extras. Funny how movies like this get such loving treatment while some big blockbuster films get the shaft.

I like some of the movies made or co produced by Tim Burton, though never mind the dark themes he incorporates. Most of his movies revolve around darkness and I don't know why. I think it's about feeling like you don't fit in or people see you as weird. In every Burton movie I watch, I see the same things: same actors (usually starring Johnny Depp and his wife Helena), same make up, weirdos, monsters and other underworld fantasy. Two of my top list movies are The Nightmare Before Christmas and Edward Scissorhands or Beetlejuice.

I don't seem to have a favourite cult but I would go with Men in Black.

Endorse most of the above movies. Would add Two Lane Black Top to the list.

I watch this whenever I'm feeling down, I've probably seen it over a hundred times. One of my favorite movies ever, even though I can't stand some of the ridiculous special effects.

My favorite cult film is definitely "They Live." It's very amusing, both intentionally and unintentionally, and it makes valid points about the threat of propaganda and the "zombification" of society. It would be the movie I'd make, if I were to make one, haha.

The special effects in Kung Fu Hustle add to the cartoonish humor of the movie.

I guess to be a cult film it has to have SOME level of popularity. Here are some of my favorites...

"Leningrad Cowboys Go America" by Aki Kaurismaki
"Songs From the Second Floor" by Roy Andersson
"The American Astronaut" by Corey McAbee
"The Forbidden Zone" by Richard Elfman
"Brand Upon the Brain" by Guy Maddin
"O Lucky Man" by Lindsey Anderson
