My Quadrilogy of EPs
In an attempt to promote my work, I put out four of my EPs for free with the option of paying. (Until I fix my PayPal information, I would suggest just downloading it for free.) All four of these EPs represent the kind of music I take on regularly, and hopefully, will guide my way towards the kind of music I plan to make.
1. Proletariat Pop EP: The title was referring to my love of making real music out of instruments that are supposedly inauthentic. I used a roll-out piano, a casio keyboard, and produced on laptop. "Sleepless Night" is inspired by a lack of sleep naturally, fueled by the anxiety I had about performing my first show. My future projects will lean towards this, in my attempt to add to the genre of "space folk" or "future folk".
2. Various Spaces: Created in my wife's bedroom mostly, the EP is an improvisational electronic project brought on by my need to get used to the new Windows Sound Recorder, where I used to record my music. In the past, Windows Sound Recorder used to let me reverse, chop, slow down, layer, basically manipulate any sample or recording I collect. Now, they won't really let you do all that, and I got used to it by trying to create the music I usually did organically. I wound up with a playful space EP.
3. In Her Bedroom: Born out of mostly boredomand a need to keep working, this EP is a collection of avantgarde/found sound/experimental/instrumental hip-hop beats I made from objects such as my wife's fan/air conditioner, my computer keys, snaps, internet instruments, etc.
4. Last New Years: To complete this trilogy of albums that I had created mostly in my wife's bedroom, this was supposed to be a project of songs I created within the time frame of New Years' and New Years' Day. What i plannedt odo was give it away to celebrate the New Year. No dice. Due to botched information and a loss of temper on the part of the "house owner", parts of this was created at my house. Found sound, lo-fi pop, and jazz are all touched upon here.
I hope you are able to find a project that is to your liking! More to come soon.
