I have very strong celtic routes deriving from both Ireland the local languages of welsh and gailic are some of the oldest languages in the world, when spoken its hard to not dismiss it as jibberish however sung it is rather beautiful.

I love Celtic and Welsh music [and Quenya/Sindarin Elvish] and Finnish and...*happy sigh* mythology.

Sung in Irish Gaelic, I'll die a very unhappy man if I never visit the Isles. I know a small amount of Welsh, looking to expand that.

I have an Irish Gaelic dictionary and know some Sindarin Elvish and I've made up my own language [called Mythavean] that I sing in.

Have you guys heard of Blackmore's night? They are very celtish.

My favourite bands are only Within Temptation and the Black Mages. What lovely music!

U2 of course, they often get shoehorned as a Christian rock band in the U.S. and they really aren't.

Welsh composer, not an actual language in the song, just vowel sounds. Did this to really turn vocals into an actual instrument.

^^ Your welcome, I am both Irish and Welsh, my surname is Thomas which is of Welsh descent! Yes I am an Otaku and relate to L in many ways as an aspie so it fits well. I am a Celt and an aspie otaku!Welsh is my ancestral language as well as Irish Gaelic both very ancient languages but hope to get back to my routes and learn them, if i can speak mandarin, japanese and many other complex languages i can learn these as well.

Anywho I am proud to be both Welsh and Irish! Until i did my DNA test and did some research on family history, I had no cultural identity whatsoever, but now I am at ease. I know who I am and am proud and the music is soothing.

Now back on topic before i get thrown off with my obsessions with anime and Asian cultures, its back to my Celtic roots, heres some Irish music! Fun fact the Celts gave the Romans nightmares of over 500 years, the Welsh managed to kick the Romans out of Britain for a while until they came back for revenge. But even after the defeat of the iceni the Romans were unable press forward after that since the terrain in the highlands was too difficult and the costal cliffs of Ireland were troublesome they backed of after that, the Welsh, the Scotts still lived on regardless of the Viking invasions and enslavement they perservered through it all.
