For the first time since the 1960's, Marvel is not going to publish the Fantastic Four any longer. I have to think the attempts at adapting that comic book to the screen, resulting in box office failures, has had something to do with it. Hopefully, this is only a temporary hiatus.

What a crock! The Fantastic Four are Marvel's first family, kicked off the Marvel Universe proper in the early '60s.

I'm not so happy with how the movies and all the squabbling between the different studios are affecting Marvel's comic books. I see it in X-Men as well, though for now the X-Men still support three titles, but Marvel is set to play the Inhumans up to the detriment of the X-Men, which is already seen in the present set-up (mutants getting rarer, Inhumans growing in number).

Agreed.

Wow, that is surprising. If only that could make a decent movie.

And what about Dr. Doom? He is one of the biggest, baddest Marvel villains of all.

The 2005 movie was awesome. Silver Surfer following also semi-decent. They should've continued the series though, rather than starting from the beginning again in 2015. I didn't bother going to the movies for that, and watched it at home when it came out - fell asleep halfway through.

The rest of the Marvel films have left it behind though, especially now they are all tied together.

finally.... it's so good to see someone who thinks that about the previous FF films!
at this rate, we'll never get to see an on screen Franklin Richards...and not just as a name on Xaviers computer!

I understand they had been planning a Silver Surfer film franchise, but it never worked out.
Incidentally, my favorite Fantastic Four movie was The Rise Of The Silver Surfer.

This is old news. It was at the July 2015 New York Comic-Con where Marvel announced the end of the Fantastic Four comic book series, with the the final title at #645.

Actually, I had only learned of it rather recently. Then again, I was never one to follow the comic-con news, though I fancy myself a comic book nerd.
