Oxford University (who publishes the main dictionary of the English Language) in partnership with Radio 2 (UK) has completed their analysis of words used by English speaking Children.

The Children's word of the 2014 is......

Soon they shall convert to the glorious #OctothorpeMasterRace.

It certainly beats Oxford's previous "word of the year" (2010? earlier?): meh. There is hope yet.
