Hometown...

+++++++++++++++
Hometown [Le]
+++++++++++++++

Composer: Akira Yamaoka
Performed By: Joe Romersa
Length: 6:04

(0:10)He spoke of tortured souls,
(0:18)So outrageous the toll
(0:24)You can lose all you have
(0:29)He refused to give in,
(0:34)To the town that takes all.
(0:40)Survive you must have the will
(0:51)This movie doesn't end the way we want,
(0:55)All the time Then he shouts at the moon.
(1:01)"She's gone!" and fear has overcome.

(1:10)He was walking the mile
(1:15)He was walking alone...

(1:40)So outrageous the toll
(1:45)You can lose all you have
(1:51)He refused to give in
(1:56)To the town that takes all.
(2:02)Survive you must have the will
(2:13)This movie doesn't end the way we want,
(2:17)All the time Then he shouts at the moon.
(2:23)"She's Gone!" and fear has overcome.

(2:31)He was walking the mile
(2:37)He was walking alone

(2:43)Four and twenty dead birds
(2:48)They bleed upon the nest
(2:53)There was no time for reasons
(2:58)They had no sign of a threat.

(3:03)Now it's too late
(3:07)Too late for me,
(3:10)This town will eventually take me
(3:15)Too late, too late for me
(3:21)This town will win.

{Spoken}
(3:24)Through this fog they came along
(3:27)Dark creatures singing a terrible song
(3:30)The rest of the bar laughed at him
(3:33)Only I felt my hope grow dim
(3:37)They found him dead the very next day
(3:40)No more stories from him, I heard them say
(3:44)We blame bad luck, for his fate.
(3:47)Only I felt terror so great.

{Sung}
(3:51)She and he will know...
(3:56)That someday...
(4:01)All things will end...

(4:05)That misty night
(4:07)That dismal moon
(4:10)The dead search for their kin
(4:15)While angels sing, in endless dark
(4:20)The dead seek out sin.

The "Silent Hill Song"

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The Silent Hill Song [Lf]
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

NOTE: This is copied directly from the text during the ending, I won't be
posting the times since they would be inacurate.

Length: 5:43 (Length of the ending)

Come on, kiddies! Gather around!
Now, tell me, everyone...
Aren't you sick and tired of that ol' UFO ending?
That's right! Be honest!
Honesty helps you grow big and strong!
Okay, you fine youngsters, let's all sing the Silent Hill song!
Ready? And-a one, and-a two, and-a one, two, five, seven...

Everybody sing the Silent Hill song
Come on, friends - let's sing along

We'll start with Claudia!
You don't all have to sing!
Claudia, Claudia
She's oh so nice, and I'm glad
She gives us all candy and money to spend
Just be sure that you don't get her mad

Everybody sing the Silent Hill song
Come on, friends - let's sing along

Next up is Vincent!
Here we go!
Vincent, Vincent
He's such a good boy, it's true
He walks old ladies across the street
But he's selfish and so willful, too

Everybody sing the Silent Hill song
Come on, friends - let's sing along

Now on to Douglas!
Douglas, Douglas
He's not really a true-blue P.I.
He gets up awful early and smells of the sea
Because he sells fish on the sly

Everybody sing the Silent Hill song
Come on, friends - let's sing along

Last but not least, Heather!
Heather, Heather
Divorced with two kids on her own
It's so hard to raise 'em and still go to work
A young mom who goes it alone

Everybody sing the Silent Hill song
Come on, friends - let's sing along

Everybody sing the Silent Hill song
Come on, friends - let's sing along

(Sung in Japanese)

And finally, a very sad-sounding song, but a rather disturbing one. "Room of Angel"

-------------------------------------------
1d) Room of Angel
-------------------------------------------

You lie, silent there before me.
Your tears, they mean nothing to me,
The wind howling at the window,
the love you never gave,
I give to you,
Really don't deserve it,
but now, there's nothing you can do.
So sleep, in your only memory
and weep, my dearest mother...

Here's a lullaby to close your eyes.
[Goodbye]
It was always you that I despised.
I don't feel enough for you to cry, [oh no]
Here's a lullaby to close your eyes,
[Goodbye],
[Goodbye],
[Goodbye],
[Goodbye].

So insignificant, sleeping dormant deep inside of me,
are you hiding away, lost, under the sewers,
maybe flying high, in the clouds?
perhaps you're happy without me...
So many seeds have been sown in the field,
And who could sprout up so blessedly,
If I had died I would never felt sad at all,
I would have never felt sad at all,
You will not hear me say 'I'm sorry'
where is the light, wonder if it's weeping somewhere?

Here's a lullaby to close your eyes,
Goodbye
It was always you i despised.
I don't feel enough for you to cry, oh no,
Here's a lullaby to close your eyes,
Goodbye,

Here's a lullaby to close your eyes,
Goodbye
It was always you I despised.
I don't feel enough for you to cry, oh no,
Here's a lullaby to close your eyes,
Goodbye,
Goodbye,
Goodbye,
Goodbye.

Here's a lullaby to close your eyes,
Goodbye
It was always you that I despised.
I don't feel enough for you to cry, oh no,
Here's a lullaby to close your eyes.
Goodbye.
Here's a lullaby to close your eyes.
Goodbye
It was always you that I despised.
I don't feel enough for you to cry, oh no,
Here's a lullaby to close your eyes.
Goodbye,
Goodbye,
Goodbye,
Goodbye.

Broken-Sonata Arctica

I was raised from a broken seed,I grew up to be an unwanted weed.
Ever faster the time exceeds me,little harder again to remember...you.

Held a torch for you, when lightning stroke me,once again, hope I died for the last time.
Only one I have a thing greater than you, little light on the sky every night.

Morning dew on the field, where I met you.
I was frozen a year,couldn't get through.
Got a sign, not a scar,on my shoulder, I'm not quite the man you take me for...

Fell in love with the weakness within me.
Tried to force me the Ring and own me.
Guess you found what you'd think would oblige me,little version of me to consume you...

I'd give my everything to you, follow you thru the garden of oblivion.
If only I could tell you everything, the little things you'll never dare to ask me...

Do you really know me? I might be a God.
Show me that you care and have a cry.
How do you see me?... as the one?
Can you see my blood when I'm bleeding.
How can you love this exile, and how could I desire you.
When my pain is my pain and yours is too...

On this dark winter's night.Darkness becomes this child.
Bless this night with a tear. For I have none I fear...

Seven lifes of a man, passed before me.
Seven graves, one for every love I've had.
Only once I have broken my so called heart.
Only one made me see why they cry.

Will I learn how to be one of you someday?
Will I still feel the eyes that behold me.
Will I hear what you think, when you see me?
Will it tear me apart if you feel for me...

I 'd give my everything to you, follow you thru the garden of oblivion.

On this deadwinter's night.Darkness becomes this child.
Bless this night with a tear. For I have none I...

Little broken, always been,a part of you belongs to me.
You were never mine to love, but this all has made it easy for me...

Burning feathers, not an angel, Heaven's closed , Hell's sold out.
So I walk on earth, behind the curtains, hidden from everyone,
until I find a new life to ruin again...

On this deadwinter's night.Darkness becomes this child.
Bless this night with a tear. For I have none I fear...

On this deadwinter's night.Darkness becomes this child.
Bless this night with a tear. For I have none I fear...

On a lighter note, here is a funny song from Victorian times that was used in the Doctor Who story "Ghost Light". It is a genuine period song satrising Darwinism, but it's still funny...

That's the Way to the Zoo.

I don't know what it is about
My figure or my style,
But every time I walk abroad
The passers-by all smile.
I lost myself in Kensington
About a week today.
I asked a cabby the way home
And to me he did say...

"That's the way to the zoo, that's the way to the zoo,
The monkey house is nearly full, but there's room enough for you.
Take a bus to Regent's Park, make haste before it shuts,
I'll come again on Monday and bring you such a lot of nuts."

I thank you.

Opeth - Dirge for November

Lost, here is nowhere
Searching home still
Turning past me, all are gone
Time is now
The omen showed, took me away
Preparations are done, this can't last
The mere reflection brought disgust
No ordeal to conquer, this firm slit
It sheds upon the floor, dripping into a pool
Grant me sleep, take me under
Like the wings of a dove, folding around
I fade into this tender care

Opeth - The Drapery Falls

Please remedy my confusion
And thrust me back to the day
The silence of your seclusion
Brings night into all you say
Pull me down again
And guide me into pain
I'm counting nocturnal hours
Drowned visions in haunted sleep
Faint flickering of your powers
Leaks out to show what you keep
Pull me down again
And guide me into ...
There is failure inside
This test I can't persist
Kept back by the enigma
No criterias demanded here
Deadly patterns made my wreath
Prosperous in your ways
Pale ghost in the corner
Pouring a caress on your shoulder
Puzzled by shrewd innocence
Runs a thick tide beneath
Ushered into inner graves
Nails bleeding from the struggle
It is the end for the weak at heart
Always the same
A lullaby for the ones who've lost all
Reeling inside
My gleaming eye in your necklace reflects
Stare of primal regrets
You turn your back and you walk away
Never again
Spiralling to the ground below
Like Autumn leaves left in the wake to fade
away
Waking up to your sound again
And lapse into the ways of misery

A couple more..

Pulp - Common People

She came from Greece she had a thirst for knowledge,
she studied sculpture at Saint Martin's College,
that's where I,
caught her eye.
She told me that her Dad was loaded,
I said "In that case I'll have a rum and coca-cola."
She said "Fine."
and in thirty seconds time she said,

"I want to live like common people,
I want to do whatever common people do,
I want to sleep with common people,
I want to sleep with common people,
like you."

Well what else could I do -
I said "I'll see what I can do."
I took her to a supermarket,
I don't know why but I had to start it somewhere,
so it started there.
I said pretend you've got no money,
she just laughed and said,
"Oh you're so funny."
I said "yeah?
Well I can't see anyone else smiling in here.
Are you sure you want to live like common people,
you want to see whatever common people see,
you want to sleep with common people,
you want to sleep with common people,
like me."
But she didn't understand,
she just smiled and held my hand.
Rent a flat above a shop,
cut your hair and get a job.
Smoke some fags and play some pool,
pretend you never went to school.
But still you'll never get it right,
cos when you're laid in bed at night,
watching roaches climb the wall,
if you call your Dad he could stop it all.

You'll never live like common people,
you'll never do what common people do,
you'll never fail like common people,
you'll never watch your life slide out of view,
and dance and drink and screw,
because there's nothing else to do.

Sing along with the common people,
sing along and it might just get you through,
laugh along with the common people,
laugh along even though they're laughing at you,
and the stupid things that you do.
Because you think that poor is cool.

Manic Street Preachers - IfWhiteAmericaToldTheTruthForOneDayItsWholeWorldWouldFallApart

Images of perfection, suntan and napalm
Grenada - Haiti - Poland - Nicaragua
Who shall we choose for our morality
I'm thinking right now of Hollywood tragedy

Big mac, smack, phoenix r, please smile y'all
Cuba, Mexico can't cauterize our discipline
Your idols speak so much of the abyss
Yet your morals only run as deep as the surface

Cool - groovy - morning - fine
(If white)
Tipper Gore was a friend of mine
(America)
I love a free country
(told the truth)
The stars and stripes and an apple for mommy
(for one day)

Conservatives say: there ain't no black in the union jack
Democrats say: there ain't enough white in the stars and stripes

Compton - Harlem - a pimp f****d a priest
The white man has just found a new moral saviour
Vital stats - how white was their skin
Unimportant - just another inner-city drive-by thing
Morning - fine - serve your first coffee of the day
Real privilege, it will take your problems all away
Number one - the best - no excuse from me
I am here to serve the moral majority

Cool - groovy - morning - fine
(If white)
Tipper Gore was a friend of mine
(America)
I love a free country
(told the truth)
The stars and stripes and an apple for mommy
(for one day)

Zapruder the first to masturbate
The world's first taste of crucified grace
And we say: there's not enough black in the union jack
And we say: there's too much white in the stars and stripes
F*ck the Brady bill
F*ck the Brady bill
If God made man they say
Sam Colt made him equal

Superman - Five for Fighting

I can't stand to fly
I'm not that naive
I'm just out to find a better part of me

I'm more than a bird
I'm more than a plane
I'm more than some pretty face beside a train
And it's not easy to be me

I wish that I could cry
Fall upon my knees
Find a way to lie 'bout a home I'll never see

I'm misunderstood, but don't be naive
Even heroes have the right to bleed
I may be disturbed, but won't you concede
Even heroes have the right to dream
And it's not easy to be me

Up up and away
Away from me
It's alright
You can all sleep sound tonight
I'm not crazy or anything

I can't stand to fly
I'm not that naive
Men weren't meant to ride with clouds between their knees

I'm only a man in a silly red sheet
Diggin' for kryptonite on this one-way street
Only a man in a funny red sheet
Looking for special things inside of me
Inside of me... Inside of me
Inside of me... Inside of me

I'm only a man in a funny red sheet
I'm only a man looking for a dream
I'm only a man in a funny red sheet
And it's not easy to be...

It's not easy to be... me

This song gives me the chills even thinking about it!

Rugburns - "Suburbia"

I'm dancing naked on my street, in my neighborhood
I just lost my job last week and I'm not feeling good
I think I'll go to Hiram's Guns and Liquor just for fun
And pick me up some whiskey and a shiny new black gun
Go down the road to K-Mart for the blue-light-special hour
Put the barrel to my head, it gives me special power
In Suburbia

My wife don't understand me, well she thinks that I'm a louse
She don't understand that there's a mortgage in this house
Her mother won't quit nagging, well she thinks that I'm a slave
I'd like to put a knife in her and send her to the grave
In Suburbia

Mommy, daddy, they can't help me anymore
Cousins, uncles, well they shove me out the door
Nobody can stop a man if he's got blinders on
Don't take away the spotlight on this special hour of fun
In Suburbia

In Suburbia the kids are always screaming half the night
The way they never go to sleep they must be smoking ice
In the morning when you wake up your car stereo's been nicked
It's the yuppie couple's kid next door, he's such a little prick
They say child abuse is bad, in this case I'd say it's legal
I'd like to chain him to his room and set fire to his beagle
In Suburbia

Mommy, daddy, they can't help me anymore
Cousins, uncles, well they shove me out the door
Nobody can stop a man if he's got blinders on
Don't take away the spotlight on this special hour of fun
In Suburbia

Joe Wilson down the road is f***ing Henry Meuller's wife
Now he wants my daughter, I wish they'd stay out of my life
My son just got arrested, he's got pot leaves on his door
His favorite band's the Rugburns and he wants a f***ing war
In Suburbia

Mommy, daddy, they can't help me anymore
Cousins, uncles, well they shove me out the door
Nobody can stop a man if he's got blinders on
Don't take away the spotlight on this special hour of fun
In Suburbia

I'm dancing naked on my street, in my neighborhood
I just lost my job last week and I'm not feeling good
I think I'll go to Hiram's Guns and Liquor just for fun
Pick me up some whiskey and a shiny new black gun
Go down the road to K-Mart for the blue light special hour
Put the barrel to my head, it gives me special power
In Suburbia

(As an amusing side note, Hiram's Guns and Spirits was once a real store, in El Cajon, CA - the lead singer's hometown. Now, it's Hiram's Guns and Nick's Liquor, but they're both still in the same store!)

Rush - "Virtuality"

Like a shipwrecked mariner adrift on an unknown sea
Clinging to the wreckage of the lost ship Fantasy
I'm a castaway, stranded in a desolate land
I can see the footprints in the virtual sand

Net boy, net girl
Send your signal 'round the world
Let your fingers walk and talk
And set you free
Net boy, net girl
Send your impulse 'round the world
Put your message in a modem
And throw it in the Cyber Sea

Astronauts in the weightlessness of pixellated space
Exchange graffiti with a disembodied race
I can save the universe in a grain of sand
I can hold the future in my virtual hand

Let's dance tonight
To a virtual song
Press this key
And you can play along
Let's fly tonight
On our virtual wings
Press this key
To see amazing things

Like a pair of vagabonds who wave between two passing trains
Or the glimpse of a woman's smile through a window in the rain
I can smell her perfume
I can taste her lips
I can feel the voltage from her fingertips

Net boy, net girl
Send your heartbeat round the world
Let your fingers walk and talk
And set you free
Net boy, net girl
Send your signal 'round the world
Put your message in a modem
And throw it in the Cyber Sea...

here's the lyrics that speak to me right now... :(

Haven't we been here before
Footsteps lead down to the note on the door
That says I can't stay here anymore

And haven't we felt this same way
Sure in our hearts, but afraid just the same
To say I can't stay one minute more

You might think that it's hopeless
Beyond our control
But that's not necessarily so
Can't you see there's a chance
For the daring young soul
Who's finally learned to say no

No, I won't be misused
Ignored or refused
And I won't just give up and let go

So tonight hold me close to you
And don't give up what's important to you
And as time rolls on
Nothng can stand in our way

And I believe if we learn fromhe past
We'd find keys to unlock every door
Dark would turn into light
We'd be strong
We'd be right

So tonight hold me close to you
And don't give up what's important to you
And as time rolls on
Nothing will stand in our way

And I believe if we learn from the past
We'd say haven't we been here before
Oh, and I believe if we open our hearts
We'd find keys to unlock every door
Hearts could change overnight
We'd be strong...We'd be right
So stay with me now
The future is ours
And we'll be the ones who go on

Neil Young - Are You Ready For The Country Lyrics

Slipping and sliding
and playing domino
Lefting and then Righting,
it's not a crime you know.
You gotta tell your story boy,
before it's time to go.

Are you ready for the country
because it's time to go?
Are you ready for the country
because it's time to go?

I was talkin' to the preacher,
said God was on my side
Then I ran into the hangman,
he said it's time to die
You gotta tell your story boy,
you know the reason why.

Are you ready for the country
because it's time to go?
Are you ready for the country
because it's time to go?

Petit/Mini Cataclysm (Originally known as Puchi Tenpenchi'i, this is a translation from Japanese to english)

Even if my skull shatters, it won't hurt
Even if my eyeballs are gouged out, it doesn't mean I won't see
You'll die, I'll die, and that will be the end
Even if my brains spill a little, it's not a cataclysm

I tried thinking of you a little bit
I try thinking of you a little bit

Even if things don't go as expected, it doesn't mean I can't do it
Even if you whisper to me, of course I won't feel any motivation
Tomorrow we will die, we'll surely die, then it'll be bye bye
Even if we know it's a cataclysm we don't call it one

I tried thinking of you a little bit
I try thinking of you a little bit

An empty wasted effort with nonsense katakana

I spend hours laughing over this.
I love Metronome so much its sickening.
The best part about them is their music always sounds SOO HAPPY
And than the lyrics are like this...

See You in Heaven (If I Ever Get There)

Hello there, Mr. Riverman
I guess I'll see you in heaven
If I can ever find a way to make it there
Riddle me that and riddle me this
Noticing nothing is amiss
Going on without a pain or care.
Good evening, Mr. Riverman
How much farther to heaven?
All I need is to find a way to make it there
Waking the moondogs up tonight
Their bark is better than their bite
Looking for everything that's good and fair

We go sailing along on a Hartford zeppelin
Riding away while the moondogs play
And nothing ever seemed so perfect as today
You could hear a pin drop from Sheboygan
Riding the tail of a blue whale
And now we get to hear the moondogs tell their tale

So dig it today and throw cares away
Let it all hand out, let sleeping dogs lie
No, not today, today's too good a day
Now isn't the time to say goodbye

Hello there, Mr. Riverman
I guess I'll see you in heaven
If I can ever find a way to make it there
Riddle me that and riddle me this
Noticing nothing is amiss
Going on without a pain or care.
Good evening, Mr. Riverman
How much farther to heaven?
All I need is to find a way to make it there
Waking the moondogs up tonight
Their bark is better than their bite
Looking for everything that's good and fair

So, hello there, Mr. Riverman
I guess I'll see you in heaven
If I can ever find a way to make it there
Riddle me that and riddle me this
Noticing nothing is amiss
Going on without a pain or care.
Good evening, Mr. Riverman
How much farther to heaven?
All I need is to find a way to make it there
Waking the moondogs up tonight
Their bark is better than their bite
Looking for everything that's good and fair

I go looking for the yachts and their vibrant marina
Sailing along as I sing my song
And they can make the day not feel so long
And so we head off into sundown's cantina
Making our round up from the ground
And so we hear the ululating sound

So dig it today and throw cares away
Let it all hand out, let sleeping dogs lie
No, not today, today's too good a day
Now isn't the time to say goodbye

Hello there, Mr. Riverman
I guess I'll see you in heaven
If I can ever find a way to make it there
Riddle me that and riddle me this
Noticing nothing is amiss
Going on without a pain or care.
Good evening, Mr. Riverman
How much farther to heaven?
All I need is to find a way to make it there
Waking the moondogs up tonight
Their bark is better than their bite
Looking for everything that's good and fair

Find the fogey, ride the bogey
Rock the river until it delivers
Take the moondogs to the ship docks
And leave frustration in a new station

So dig it today and throw cares away
Let it all hand out, let sleeping dogs lie
No, not today, today's too good a day
Now isn't the time to say goodbye

Hello there, Mr. Riverman
I guess I'll see you in heaven
If I can ever find a way to make it there
Riddle me that and riddle me this
Noticing nothing is amiss
Going on without a pain or care.
Good evening, Mr. Riverman
How much farther to heaven?
All I need is to find a way to make it there
Waking the moondogs up tonight
Their bark is better than their bite
Looking for everything that's good and fair

Looking for everything that's good and fair
Hello, Mr. Riverman....

That's one that I wrote.

Arise, ye workers from your slumber,
Arise, ye prisoners of want.
For reason in revolt now thunders,
and at last ends the age of cant!
Away with all your superstitions,
Servile masses, arise, arise!
We'll change henceforth the old tradition,
And spurn the dust to win the prize!
So comrades, come rally,
And the last fight let us face.
The Internationale,
Unites the human race.
So comrades, come rally,
And the last fight let us face.
The Internationale,
Unites the human race.

No more deluded by reaction,
On tyrants only we'll make war!
The soldiers too will take strike action,
They'll break ranks and fight no more!
And if those cannibals keep trying,
To sacrifice us to their pride,
They soon shall hear the bullets flying,
We'll shoot the generals on our own side.
So comrades, come rally,
And the last fight let us face.
The Internationale,
Unites the human race.
So comrades, come rally,
And the last fight let us face.
The Internationale,
Unites the human race.

No saviour from on high delivers,
No faith have we in prince or peer.
Our own right hand the chains must shiver,
Chains of hatred, greed and fear.
E'er the thieves will out with their booty,
And to all give a happier lot.
Each at his forge must do their duty,
And we'll strike the iron while it's hot.
So comrades, come rally,
And the last fight let us face.
The Internationale,
Unites the human race.
So comrades, come rally,
And the last fight let us face.
The Internationale,
Unites the human race.

Anxiety Attack
(lyrics by Lyrics by Elisa Stefanoni *Lisy Lunaria*)

Is here again
this suffocating suffering:
it take possession of my impotent body
again and again...
Inexplicable, unbearable, insuperable fear.

My hands became cold, so cold
I start to tremble stronger and stronger
my sight grow dim
to much people around me
I can't breath, I can't breath
I start to be sick, sick, sick

I wanna go away
please let me escape
I wanna be lonely!
Give me my chemical cures!
Too much people,
too much, too much
they suffocate me.

The others can't see this pain,
they can't understand.
Please take away this s**t from me,
please let me free!

No more life, no more myself
there's only this suffocating sensation
again and again
nothing else
nothing else
again and again...
