I'm really enjoying that Oasis song - tbh, I've only heard their first two albums

I love Blur and think Pulp's Jarvis Cocker is a brilliant songwriter, but I can't stand Oasis. That's the fullest extent of my Britpop knowledge.

However, I never thought to include Manic Street Preachers as part of the scene; they didn't really get the same kind of press as Oasis or Blur and their early work with Richey Edwards was much more punkish and political than any of their Britpop contemporaries. If they count, then I definitely throw some love their way.

Ah, Britpop! Soundtrack of my childhood.

I was massively, MASSIVELY into Oasis around the time of What's the Story. I was so proud when I got to wear my Oasis T-shirt to school. I also wore it with "Liam Gallagher" sunglasses in blue or pink. I was the coolest 5 year old around 8)
