Funny (aspie?) kid and animal farm
I was in a book shop and there was this 10-12 yo kid in there with his dad. I think he was aspie but not sure, just he was looking at the adult books and seemed a good reader. And what happens next.
Dad: 'I think you'd like this book. It's all about these animals who take over a farm and at first they're all equal then the cleverer animals take control'.
Kid: 'why didn't the farmer just shoot the animals when they got wild?'
Dad: 'you don't really understand, you see it's about...'
Kid: 'if I was the farmer I'd shoot the animals, you'd get the meat anyway'
Lol. I know the book's an allegory (knew it when I was younger than him actually) but on a purely logical level, ignoring any symbolism, he's got a point...
