Hard not to loop this and it gets stuck in my head these days maybe two or three times per week. Tricky's always been an incredible producer, just getting familiar with Breanna and I think she and Tricky work really well together - IMHO she almost reminds me of an American Dido on blues.

I think what's also riveting about this piece is just how minimal and formula-oriented it is - I think of how sticky 'Her Sex Is On Fire' by Kings of Leon was and for similar reasons. Also listened to the original album version with Francesca - Breanna rolled this one and sparked it, definitely a lot of added value on the vocals (and the words seem credible coming out of her).

It's not a song, it's a sound. I want to take the DOD Death Metal/Grunge pedal circuit, retain the gain knob from the Grunge pedal, retain the mids knob from the Death Metal pedal, add a mid-frequency sweep like a Boss MT-2 has and add a second gain/sustain control like Jukka Korppi's added to his. This would give me a really flexible sounding preamp that would make a great companion for the Spirytus Distortion I just bought.

Basically I have the world's best solid-state distorted guitar tone stuck in my head and I need to figure out how to make a box that will achieve it.

Going back for a second lap on this mix by Djinn. Been loving Samurai music for quite a while and listen to Outlier 2 regularly for a while:

The kind of thing that makes Outliers 2 really pop:

The News theme from the news segment of Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In, followed by the theme from Johnny Carson’s Tonight show (played in retrograde inversion, introducing Dick Martin as the anchor :D )

Yes, the Decades network reruns Laugh In every night at 7:00 Eastern.
