Anyone else into Paisley Underground scene music, to be fair, I'm only really heavily into Rain Parade, but I found this documentary on YouTube which has given me some ideas of other bands to check out.

Almost forgot about The Long Ryders. I used to listen to them a little, but wasn't a big fan.

Do R.E.M belong in there? Some say yes, some say no. They certainly have elements of the movement in their first album.

Early R.E.M and early Bangles do have a similar sound... controversial opinion.

I would not. Thier main influence was more punk then pop edged 60s guitar rock. That is why they are usually labled "post punk"
