That's funny. Roth could be the most un-aspie author going. I also find his novels dated. Their aesthetics and preoccupations belong to an older generation, IMHO. The only reason I've bothered to read any of his books is because he is generally regarded as a great writer, but I just don't see it. The man writes about a Newark that is either long gone or never really existed in the first place.
