Great skies, the thread is still alive! :D thanks for reviving it, guys.
Back on topic: I'm going crazy about the last album of Lucifugum, I think it's really the best :hail:

So, I just got into Enslaved. I bought their two most recent albums: Ruun and Vertebrae and I'm loving them. I know they're way off of the black metal path, but they're just too awesome to pass up.

I guess I know how the traditional bluegrass people at work feel about the newer bluegrass I play for them.

I was reading about the Temple of the Black Light after reading the Wikipedia post on Dissection. I realized that Kristoff Olivius of Naglfar must be a member, maybe other members of Naglfar too. What with the song Feeding Moloch and the album Sheol.

I will admit my music tastes tend to be rather dark at times.
Ex.
-Abigail Williams
-Arch Enemy
-Behemoth
-Children of Bodom
-Cradle of Filth
-(pre-Paralyzer) Finger Eleven
-Gorgoroth (Only truly Black Metal band I listen to)
-Lamb of God
-Lizzy Borden
-Manowar
-Marilyn Manson
-Meshuggah
-Nadja
-Otep
-Rammstein
-(pre-Educated Horses) Rob Zombie
-Slayer
-Type O Negative

Other than that, I don't tend to have a genre to stick to.

My favourite Enslaved album is Vikingligr Veldi, it'd be worth giving that one a chance if you haven't already.

I really like Anthelion. They're a Taiwanese symphonic black metal band...they're not classic black metal but they REALLY capture what made Cradle of Filth's old stuff great.

Cthonic is another great black metal band from Taiwan:

OK, I'm new to the forum, but this thread RULES

I've been liking Black Metal for years and years, and I simply can't stop. How Aspie is that?

:D

I continue to bow down to:

:hail:

Burzum (particularly "Huis Lyset Tar Oss")
Xasthur (depressive U.S. Black Metal)
Velvet Cacoon (repetitive U.S. Black Metal)

I'm an exception I guess. I'm just not into it. Wolfmother, Kasabian, & Muse is about as hard rock as I get.

I only like one song of Belphegor, which should be located around the beginning of the page, but I love Dimmu, I have the "In Sorte Diaboli" album of them, and it's awesome.
