Mike, can I do you a 'needs something else' on this one?
I like it, but there's something about that last stanza...in the last but one, you've been talking about bully God and his mean ways, and wound up that section with a rejection of him. Then you switch to the compassion of the Christ, but you don't expand on that, and I think that makes it sound a little bit of an abrupt ending. Is what I think, anyway.
The sentiments of the thing, I will also agree with. William Blake called that bullying God 'old Nobodaddy'. Any religion with this separate, power-over God-figure is going to have that problem with the nasty stuff. If God is Love, then it has to be as God-within, God as us (incarnate, not just once, but always and everywhere) - which has to make us a whole lot more loving and responsible to our fellow beings, because God is them too, even the ones we don't like or agree with. But that's a discussion for elsewhere really.
I do like the poem as a whole, anyway, I just think it needs tweaking somehow...
