How bad must Jimmy Page be as a lover for his girl so fair be stolen by Gollum?

"Mines a tale that cant be told,
My freedom I hold dear;
How years ago in days of old
When magic filled the air,
Twas in the darkest depths of Mordor
I met a girl so fair,
But Gollum, and the evil one crept up
And slipped away with her.
Her, her....yea.
Ain't nothing I can do, no."

Robert Plant wrote most of the lyrics for that band's original material.

Maybe she just didn't want to be his precious anymore.

No big deal - I think you can still change the thread's title. Just hit "Edit".

If you run into Bebe Buell the next time you're in Portland, ask her how Jimmy Page was as a lover, as she had encounters with him as well.

If I ran into Bebe Buell, I'd ask her about Stiv.

...and then there was that famous episode, immortalized in the Frank Zappa song 'mud shark'... but that was the girl, not Jimmy...;)

That's a myth. Apparently the original story was:

They were staying in a famous Scandinavian hotel in which you can fish off your room's balcony. The manager, John Bonham (drummer), and some girl were hanging out in a room together. The manager caught a fish (a rather common, boring one, not a "mud shark"). And there was some discussion of sticking pieces of the carved up fish into the girl's privates, as a joke. A piece of cooked fish might have been inserted there a little later on, once again a rather tame joke.

The myth is a much more entertaining story, and people seem to like stories about Jimmy Page and animals. Anyway, the real story is a "you had to be there" kind of joke, and silly myths are vital to rock-stardom.
