Who has seen this on here? My boyfriend and I have been watching this recently in an attempt to improve our oil painting skills. Not only have we found it helpful, but amusing as well as he's wacky. He has a son called Steve who sometimes presents the show. And he likes to invite special guests that can range from people who paint like he does to his pet squirrels to his pet owl. This is just info for people who wouldn't otherwise know or to jog a few memories. I like the fact that he believes that you don't make mistakes, but you have happy accidents lol.

Yes that's him, with his Happy Paintings, doing happy little clouds that like to sit around and play or float all day :D

I used to watch that when I was a little kid. I loved it! They don't make TV like they used to. He was very soothing presence. Too bad I never turned out to be much of an oil painter. I hope your results are better!

It used to be on PBS, but he died years ago...made it look easy...

I loved that show, and was sad when he passed on.

I loved watching that when I was a little kid! It was actually very soothing and interesting to watch.

i adored his show when i was a kid!! when i would come home from elementary school for lunch i would watch it on pbs. i loved his cheerfulness, and he was very soothing. i was sad when he passed away. he and his wife did a lot of traveling in the states and had shows and whatnot, always promoting amateur painting and creative expression just because it was what they loved. good people. :)

Fuzzy, that is an awesome 'do. And to Flismflop and Pakled, it's ok, I know he died. When I found that out I thought it was very sad given as he wasn't really that old by today's standards. I believe he did loads of series though, over 25 or something like that?
