Does anyone like the British band blur?

Yeah, I used to have a poster of Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon on my wall. Actually since you mentioned it, I think I'll go Youtube Parklife. Yay.

Yeah, "Song 2" or the "Woo Hoo" song was the only thing from them I knew about and listened to for years. It wasn't until Gorillaz came out and I learned it was the same singer that I listened to more Blur stuff. I have their 'best of' and 'Parklife' albums, haven't really delved into them much, but they have several songs from those albums I like, besides "Song 2".

The only Blur album I really like is 13, but they've earned my respect for that alone.

The only album i have is their best of album the song i like is of their think tank album crazy beats. The band member that i like is Graham Coxon.

Blur is one of my favorite bands of all time. They were so much better than Oasis, and of equal greatness to Pulp. I own all their studio records, a clutch of singles and their live record they did at Budokan.

I should note to most of you that "Song 2" - the band's big, shiny American rock radio smash - is completely unrepresentative of their sound and was actually meant to be a parody of American alternative rock music. The band's other well known song in the US, "Girls and Boys" is on the complete end of the spectrum of sound from "Song 2" and again unrepresentative of their sound. Their other, slightly lesser US hits, "Coffee & TV", "There's No Other Way" and "Chemical World" however, are accurate portraits of their sound at the times of their respective releases.

You do know that "Think Tank" was made after Coxon left, right?
It's not like it matters anymore because they're reuniting this year! For a few shows in England and possibly Coachella Festival in California, so nowhere near me. I hope this leads to an actual tour and maybe another album.

Anyway, this is the video for what is probably my favorite song ever, "For Tomorrow". It's pretty much a generic video of them walking through London, but boy the song is fantastic

I like coxon's solo stuff and track that he did wiv paul weller called this old town.

I definately agree with this. But to me, they're not as good as Pulp. Pulp was my favorite band of the '90s.

i love blur and also the gorillaz (mostly the experimental elements of the first first album) shes so high is one of my favorite songs by them i kind of like oasis and blur evenly limited to their early work

I f*****g love Blur. Parklife is one of my favourite albums ever, and for a long time was my single favourite.

Graham Coxon is a hero of mine, and I've been within a foot of him. I didn't notice until it was too late, though.

This person saying they only have their best album, which is Think Tank... I'm guessing you heard all the others and got rid of them, then? Otherwise how do you know it's their best?

That's not what they said. They said they only have Blur's 'Best Of' album, though the song they like best is from Blur's 'Think Tank' album, the song called "Crazy Beats".

'Blur: The Best Of' is a compilation album, you see. I also own one.

Yeah, there's no need to patronise me. I have that compilation too, I just misread what they said and asked a straight question.
