...well, any?

What are your favorite series to write for? I tend to write for the minor characters in Pokémon, and I tend towards rather...odd subjects.

Fanficionados topic

I like to rewrite endings for stories I have read, as if to counterargue what they have stated. But I think you are talking about writing different stories for popular fiction like Star Wars, Anime, Star Trek, etc.

There are websites specifically for fanfiction. I hope you find members here for the type of fantasy or sci-fi fiction you are interested in. :D

Well, I write a few fan fics, and I'd like you to take me seriously here, mainly on Harry Potter, in which I write Riddle, and The Marauder based tales... and Star Wars ones, which I write mainly on the old days of the sith... Darth Nihilus, Darth Malak, Darth Revan... Ect Ect...

I might post one after a bit... I am really quite good at writing for a ten year old...

I know there's sites just for fanfic...but since this isn't one of them but has writers, I thought I'd ask if there's any ficcers *here*...I'm rather confused by why you would think I wouldn't know that...

The early histories of Albus Dumbledore, Tom Marvolo Riddle (I AM LORD VOLDEMORT! Loved that part) and Severus Snape are indeed fascinating. In "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," it was Riddle's mother I ended up feeling most sorry for; by the conclusion of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" I have to say that Severus strikes me as considerably nobler (if even more tragic) than Dumbledore, who seems somewhat ready to use people. It must be said that he asks a lot from Snape, without repaying him with much trust

Personally, I am currently working on a story set in the Doctor Who Universe, attempting to return the Time Lords into the world of normal spacetime. As a child I used to obsess about ways in which the Empress Jadis/White Witch might have survived between the time of The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian. I am not sure if my next example counts, but I also puzzled over what the Enemy can possibly have been attempting at the Temptation in the Wilderness; surely the attempt to corrupt Jesus was futile - maybe it was just a necessary part of Jesus' being tested as we are yet without sin; nevertheless the concept of a hypothetical (though surely theologically speaking utterly impossible) timeline in which the would-be Messiah succumbed to the temptation to gain all the kingdoms of the world for the price of bowing down to Satan: instead of being crucified at thew age

The characters from the Star Wars continuum that intrigue me most are Obi Wan and Palpatine (successively Senator, Chancellor, and Emperor - a similar meteoric rise to Borusa of Gallifrey in Classic Doctor Who - Cardinal of the Prydonian Chapter, Chancellor and Lord President of the High Council of the Time Lords; I appear to be drawn to moral oppossites for mentors (e.g. Mithrandir/Gandalf and Curunir/Saruman or Merlin and Mordred and potential mistresses (e.g. on the one hand assorted Enchantresses such as Circe, Morgan le Fay, Jadis, Xeyide, and like-minded manipulators of men, e.g. Lady Macbeth; and on the other hand the virtuous among the living and the departed - both people I have met and others I have only read opf in this world and others).

Oh yes, if anyone wants to read my stories, here's a link.

the_sketchbook, rocket100, and warewacollector are Pokémon comms, since that's not going to be obvious from the comm names unless you're in the fandom.

Back when I was in my early to mid-teens I wrote Pokémon fan fiction. I appreciated the attention I received from those circles as an amateur writer and wanted to improve my skills at a basic sort of level. I noticed that a bit of craft and a bit of excitement tended to get some deal of attention, though I avoided "shipping" which was by far the easiest way to get attention.

At one point when I was sixteen I started writing a story called Addle's Fortnight which was in the Pokémon universe but had none of the central characters of the television show and was very dark. I also reached a point where I felt "I can write properly", I no longer felt ashamed to show random people outside the amateur writing circles what I had come up with and felt confident in my own abilities as a writer. So not only did I no longer have an audience, but I had no desire for one either (and little interest in Pokémon) and I quickly lost my motivation. I haven't written anything - fan fiction or otherwise - ever since. I appreciate my time writing fan fiction though, because now I feel like I have basic fiction-writing skills that I wouldn't have had otherwise and one day I might get to use them again.

don't know how much help it would be, but if you want to see how not to write fanfic, go to 'the Godawuful Fanfic Page'...;) only if you can laugh at it, or maybe with it...

I've heard of that, although I can't remember if I've read it or not.

I do. I like original friction as much as fan fiction and I'm currently rather lazy and haven't written much in the past 1-2 years. I mainly write for Harry Potter, mainly anything with Riddle, sometimes gen, sometimes slash... if I do write. Oh, I like Ron too and currently wonder if I'll ever write something about him?

I should start again. But I don't feel so inclined to writing when I'm in the middle of a diagnosis.

What's up with the many Riddle/Voldemort writers here? It's rare that folks write about that particular character.

Well since it's six years old I'll take that as a compliment. It's the only thing I wrote as a teenager that I wouldn't feel slightly ashamed to show people if they were interested, though I only ever wrote part one.

Wait a second BlackjackGabbiani, you're actually kind of familiar. You've been around (in fanfiction.net at least) for quite a while, right? I was a moderator of the fanfiction.net mailing list while it still existed, and posted other stories... Most of which I removed because anything made before 2002 I find far too embarrassing...
