I've read speculative claims every now and again. You could peg a lot of different things on him given how strange he appeared to behave in Pink Floyd, but we don't really know the man, and now he's no longer with us.

It doesn't matter any more. All that matters is that he seemed content in his final days. Let him rest in peace.

He was wacky because of drugs, from what I've always heard.

I read an interview with David Gilmour, in which he claimed that Syd had always been rather odd, even as a child. I personally think that Syd was aspie, given various things that I have read, his lyrics (esp. solo work) and that 'Aspie-ish' look that he had in his eye, both pre and post break down.

He was a prime example of what happens when you take too much acid.

I love that man though.

i'd heard that some believe he suffered from aspergers.
whilst some believe drugs caused his breakdown, david gilmour said it woulda happened anyway, but that the drugs worsened it.
i'd read that in an interview with nick mason, someone tried to explain syd's symptoms to him, and he replied "are you sure this is syd's problem?" :D

i think he was a cool lyricist and musician
